Hey need some help. With paint on my car.(Advices)

Hey i got a 2010 nissan 370z nismo i got it off the car action. I fixed it up now i got to paint it. Can decide if i should paint it all one color or give it the 2014 look with the two tone piant.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...d3c329a126.jpg

This is how 2010 looks.

This is 2014 look with red and grey with gunmetal wheels.

Then there's this option which is similar to the 2014 look but black paint on the trim. And the bumpers are 2010

What ull think.

im not a fan of dat two tone. it looks unfinished. for ur ride id keep it all red, paint the wheels to the gunmetal color.

kenchan 04-30-2016 12:51 PM

maybe get the door handles painted gunmetal too, unless red.

IMHO; just one colour, no two tone paint job.

I like the 2014 pic the best but it needs painted door handles and headlights

Monochromatic paint rocks!

It's what vehicle manufacturers can do when they have something that looks awesome without a bunch of cheap graphics and paint schemes to distract your eyes from the lines of the car/bike.

How much they would charge to paint the handles depends on whether or not they have to remove and install them. As for the color options... Two tone looks unfinished like somebody said earlier. I hate that look. One color this car looks like it's going to hundred miles an hour sitting still and it distracts from that when that's two tone like pictures. If you want a custom look I would just gun metal the wheels and door handles. One final thought if you have them painted door handles tell them you would like an extra coat of clear coat on them. They see a lot of wear and tear and some shots don't put enough clear on to handle the abuse... That's my two cents

I like the two tone on my pearl white, I think it helps to break it up a little, but not a fan on the other colors. I kind of like the carbon fiber look as highlights though.

Duc_Z09 05-02-2016 06:43 AM

I'm not a fan of painting the handles, especially color-matched to the car.

1) It never holds up to extended wear.
2) It looks weird to me, like the car's an injection-molded toy (all 1 piece).

YMMV. I'm considering deleting mine entirely and adding door poppers.

I thought about shaving as well, but keep thinking with out the door handles the body lines may look disjointed.
