Key fob windows issue

Hey guys when holding the unlock button the windows will roll down but at an uneven rate. The driver side will start first then the passenger after. It's in the shop now and nissan said it's how the other Z's are on the lot they compared it to so I want to know if that's the same thing everybody else is dealing with too?

That's what mine does

Dirk McGurck 04-15-2016 09:47 AM

Addendum: my Mazda 6 did all four windows at different rates.

Leingod 04-15-2016 09:48 AM

Double Addendum: My Civic Si sucks.

Dirk McGurck 04-15-2016 09:50 AM

What year Civic do you have?

2013. basically the worst year to own one.

I like the exterior styling and interior of the 9th gen, but I would want the K20 motor, so if I get one for a daily it'll be an 8th gen Sedan.

Just buy a Focus ST instead. More fun and you won't have to "hang" with the ricer crowd. Clutch sucks. Audio sucks. Power sucks. Tires suck. Engine sucks.

My cars windows don't even go down when you press the unlock button!

Can confirm staggered rate of window lowering

Dirk McGurck 04-15-2016 10:01 AM

My mom has a 2006 LX that we've had literally no issues with. Audio is passable, clutch just replaced mostly due to abuse by several people. Power is acceptable. And now it has Continental PureContacts.

Focus ST costs too much right now, plus I daily'd a turbo car for three years and it spent more time on blocks than on the road.

my 2012 z does the same thing. I noticed this when I accidently held the button for a few seconds and accidently opened the windows at work during a rain storm. the drivers side got more wet than the passenger side. :icon14:

Ice cream music song!!!!

If your windows hang low, and they wobble to and fro. can you drop them up and down or do they lower really slow? Can you move them with the key fob before the windows try to explode. Do your windows. Hang. Low.

Because, what's the point of this being a feature if you still have to get in and make them even?

There's nothing anal about it, **** should be symmetrical.

Hmm, I thought it was a little anal too. But now I'm starting to think about whether both front air bags will pop at the same time. So, I'm down for crashing my Z into a tree to confirm they're synchronized (as certainly should be the case), if some of you would be willing to crash your Z into a tree for comparison. Ill let you know my results after I get yours. Thanks in advance!

:hello:

Working nights, so my forum time is thrown off a bit.

Motiv8dZ 04-15-2016 10:19 PM

Picture this Larso, the new Koenigsegg one to one has the ability to open both doors automatically, would you feel fine if they were off on timing?

And before you say "can't compare a million dollar hyper car to a Z etc" my point is it's about presentation and detail. Does it matter that they're coming down at different times? No. Would I like it more so if they did, yes.

Actually, it DOES matter that they both come down at the same time, because when you put them back up (using the key in the door), the one that didn't come down as far as the other (drivers side for me) will close first, leaving you thinking your windows are up... but they're not. Passenger side is still wide open.
