New member looking to buy a z!!

hello everyone! I am new to the forum and was looking for some help in regards to buying a 370z! any help would be greatly appreciated!

so I have been looking for a z these last couple of months just to look at whats been selling. I have found one for sale that I might be interested in but have concerns about. so the car is a 370z red, automatic with 69k+ miles on it, 3 previous owners and its selling for 17k+. my concern is on the car fax it has structural damage reported from the auction it was sold in texas. I called the dealer and asked about the damage and they said they personally don't see any damage, that the auction probably sold it like that because the car is lowered. They did say I could get it inspected. my 2nd concern is that the 3rd owner put 30k miles on the car in 3month???? would this be a cause for concern???

Also I wanted some tips on buying a used Z in regards to how many miles is considered to be low or too much? interior care? exterior care? and any other info would be great! i am looking prob into anything from 09-13 thanks!!!:icon17:

Not to be a douche but I don't think you can afford a proper Z. First off you shouldn't buy an 09 IMO, second of all anything over 30-40k miles I wouldn't be comfortable with unless I knew the owner personally, 30k in 3 months is very sketch to say the least. DO NOT BUY THAT CAR. Especially if it's reported to have damage. My biggest concern~
Is DEFINITLY that "structural" damage. look into 12/13/14 you can get them for dirt cheap nowadays. The Zs value is like a crashing stock market. Why not add 4-5 k to the 17 and get yourself a newer fresher non damaged Z. The dealership is LIEING to you. "

Keep shopping. I got my 2013 Sport M6 for $21.5k and it only had 22k miles, 1 previous owner, and a clean carfax.

I too would stay away from a car that has been damaged. Even if it's ok, it will always have that on its records/history. Lots of fun trying to convince the next potential owner that it's ok and worth what you're asking. 60k miles is certainly not excessive for that year. But 30k in 3 months is suspicious. Why take a chance. Last Sept. I paid $25k for my 2012 touring sport 6-spd from a dealer. But it did only have 10,700 miles on it. I say keep looking and put your mind to rest.

Never buy a wrecked used car. Ever. The seller is always lying about the amount of damage.

No, really, it's ok. It was just lightly tapped on the left rear quarter by a little old lady with a shopping cart. I just had to file a report with the PD in order to get insurance to pay for the touch up. And no, it was nowhere close to the flooding that happened in TX that year. Really!!

yeah, you can do better. even tho all car faxes aren't up to date, why take a chance with one you know for sure has damage? now unfortunately you'll be paying more for a sports car with nicer weather but keep shopping. gl.
