yes I can drive an MT car. as for heel toe, I've done it but it was playing around never like full on 100% track mode stuff since my MT's were in my younger days when all ATs were atrocious nasty trannys.

I haven't had to do it in awhile but it would surely come back. last MT I drove hard was in a E46 M3 competition model, short throw, coilovers, cage, etc.... it was a good bit of fun. I actually really liked it.

was hoping to have a 03 911 turbo to play with soon but that fell through. :(

Yah unless I need full braking I use the side of my foot to blip. for me it was like learning a musical instrument. Took yrs to perfect. I lol at "MT drivers" dat can't brake and blip at the same time coming up on a turn or to a stop light ..Like drivers dat have non SRV cars aka STI, S2K, MX5, etc.. :gtfo2: Too bad Nissan came up with SRV. Real MT guys don't need it.

Another annoying feature on newer MT cars is hill brake assist. Faking feels like da car is going to stall.

Common sense bruh.

But people don't see how texting n driving isn't dangerous either....

Unknown, you're starting to show your age. It's been 9 & 3 for sometime now ;)

Regarding texting, been a witness to numerous close calls. Sad thing is that most of these drivers were so involved texting or on their phone, they never realized how close they were to causing someone else, so much pain :shakes head:

Ah yes, the "hill-holder" brake assist developed by Bendix, and first optional on the 1936 Studebaker..... one of the "newer MT cars." 😏

low self esteem is associated with the person, not the cars he/she owns. I am sure some Z owners have similar issues.

i guess one issue i have with some low esteem miata drivers are they think they are being looked down on and drive around like arseholes around faster cars like the Z and my STI.

its like i dont care if ur little car is fast or slow vs my cars or looks like a pos (older gen). u enjoy ur car da way u want to and LEAVE ME OUT OF IT.

i think the current mx5 looks pretty cool. it's definitely a fun looking car.

I'm guilty... not that I don't practice but I am definitely guilty of using the s-mode to downshift more than my capabilities without it

yah, but the Z's lagging throttle response, its better to just use srv on this car. :D

going uphill from a stop i just blip the throttle while im still holding the brake and engage the clutch. there is no fast moving feet. the only time i use e-brake is backing out of a down hill parking spot. but then u introduce hill assist braking, the faking brakes do not release when u want it to which can potentially cause a stall. :ugh: my STI has this feature i really dont need.

I noticed that when it was off which is not that big of an issue when just cruising but when you started getting spirited it was like really clunky. haven't tried as much after the tune srv off... waiting for warmer weather first lol

is the hill assist/brake assist on/off switch or always on? :shakes head:

im not sure. i think one might be able to defeat it somehow, but i haven't messed with it. i dont usually let the car roll anyway so it's not a big deal but that first few times when the car was brand new and while i was still familiarizing myself with the car, it bothered me.
