I painted brand new wilwood calipers black->red when I put them on the my 350z so it can be done on the car. Lots of good prep cleaning and good tape up is required.
DIY Brembo Caliper Painting ... the easy way - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums - Camaro5.com Is a good way to do it. Aiming for Brembo gold or ? |

I thought the same "too bright" for many of my MB Z's parts; rims, headlights, door handles, emblems and backup lights lens; "Spray ALL the things!", 30% film on all the light lens Day 1 http://i334.photobucket.com/albums/m...pss8ccmpj5.jpg Day 2 http://i334.photobucket.com/albums/m...psjpt1pxvk.jpg All the shiny removed... http://i334.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps36vhmwp3.jpg I don't mind the hint of red of the calipers but you could dull it with the black chrome which is a black tinted clear spray paint so that as you add layers it gets closer to black. So far the duplicolor is really holding up well, even on the rims. Brake dust will dull the red also, just stop washing the calipers (and drive more!) Good luck, |

Drift (brake kit) thread drift; very meta
I'm concerned you'll upset his budget, I know I'd have to give up eating for a year to get those... |

Red makes it more sporty and gold is to be different and unique
