Trade Maybe?

Have a manual 2014 MB base model with only 17,xxx miles and I owe like
$18 grand and also has Berk TP's , Ark Dts exhaust , k'n short ram intakes and a ecutek tune as well and aftermarket wheels

Question is should I trade for a 2015+ Nismo costing over 30 grand ? I really like the body style it's starting to grow on me and the recaro seats

All opinions welcomed thanks guys

No.

Depends on your financials. If you can freely do it then go for it. If money is tight then absolutely not.

If money is tight don't do it. Basically they are the same car with a few differences. The price is not really worth the upgrade. Although, I am in love with the new nismo and I want one myself.

If it doesn't make any impact in your finacials, then yes do it. Hell you have a base, upgrading to a Sport is a while other animal.

edub370 03-24-2016 07:29 AM

no. upgrade to a used sport.

Wonka2581 03-24-2016 07:30 AM

NO! you can take 1/4 of the money you would spend on the NISMO and make the Z you have better then the NISMO..

I don't think sport is a whole other animal... the only differences are brakes and VLSD, which can both be had for ~$2200 total.

You could also buy the Nismo aero for ~$1500 plus paint and have your car look the same. Seats on the other hand...

LA370z 03-24-2016 09:11 AM

I actually thought about that very exact idea..... but..... You could get all the ground effects for your base and make it look just like the Nismo if not better for less money. :twocents:

Dump the one wheel wonder and go for a sport or a nismo.

That's not how differentials work. Both wheels are driven with the same power with an open differential.

highly doubt someone owing $18k on a $30k-something car has such options financially.

so i agree with dont.

There is no point of having this car without a VLSD
