Anyone running Posi quiet pads?

I just wanted to see if anyone is running Posi quiet pads along with the factory BBK. Are the good pads? Good pads for DD with hard braking? I do some spirited driving and when I brake at high speeds the factory brakes seem to vibrate/judder. The pads will be combined with new Stoptech slotted rotors. Thanks.

Running 'em as we speak and they're more than sufficient for the street.

So this is what I have come down too. So someone help me choose. Get Stoptech slotted rotors with posi quiet pads or get R1 Concepts E-line Slotted rotors with Stoptech Street performance pads. Comes out to same price for both

I would stick with the stoptech rotors, I've heard from some of the track guys that the r1 branded rotors crack easily under stress as far as the front rotors are concerned. Also you can pick up the stoptech slotted rotors from amazon for $90 a piece right now, i can get the part # for you as i have the stoptech slotted front rotors

Just do a google search for stoptech 126.42100sl and sr for the fronts, should be the first thing that pops up under amazon

Z_ealot 03-06-2016 11:27 PM

Rears are 126.42101sl and sr

It $37 shipping on each rotor. At that point I can buy the stoptech slotted rotor + pad (posi quiets) kit for the same price.

Should be free shipping once you add all of them together, amazon does free shipping on any order over $25

Amazon doesn't ship these anymore I guess. Would have been a good deal if shipping was free.

Z_ealot 03-06-2016 11:39 PM

Weird, i just used their app and added all the parts in and it gave me the option to have them shipped free

Is there a way to share your cart or something? I could only find the rear right rotor being shipped by amazon

How much is r1 quoting you on stoptech rotors on all four corners?

$282 for R1 E line slotted series. Not sure how equivalent that would be to the stoptech slotted. They have the R1 Premier series which looks exactly like the stoptechs but it comes out to $430.

I've heard from more then one person that the r1 branded products are just centric blanks that are grinded down by r1 themselves in house so are going to be weaker than an actual stoptech slotted rotor that is actually made to have the slots in it to begin with so i would stay away from the r1 branded stuff unless you arent planning on putting any abuse on them. If you can get r1 to match amazon prices on stoptech rotors i would go that route

Hmmm. I plan to abuse these rotors thats why I wanted the stoptechs. I wanted the Stoptech performance street pads too but with that added to the cost of the rotors its breaking the budget. I might just get the posi quiets and hope they won't fade under hard braking. I don't track or autox. Just need to stop from high speeds from spirited driving.

Well if you want to save a little money you can always go with r1 branded rotors in the rears as they should be fine there since technically most of the braking is done in the front anyways. Try talking to r1 and see if they can give you a deal for stoptechs in the front and r1 branded in the rear maybe?

That actually isn't a bad idea. I might get stoptech fronts and R1 premier rears, they look exactly the same.

Would it look odd since the stoptechs have the black center hub and the R1 concepts are silver?

Well in my case if i remember right i got the r1 premium rears and when they showed up they were black in the middle just like the stoptechs so not sure what you will end up with, but im guessing they will be black in the middle also
