rearview mirror

Got in my car today and looked in the rearview to back up and it looks like a stretched bubble from the bottom left heading toward the middle. Similar to bad tint? I thought it was oily water but it wouldn't erase. Anybody have this happen. did not wash or spray on it?:ugh2:

Florida heat and humidity finally get to it? I bet you could get a replacement off ebay pretty cheap.

It is leaking internally. It is the fluid that auto dim the mirror. It is a common problem for the e46 M3. You should get it fixed before the fluid get on the interior pieces as it would cause damages.

I had my M3 glass replaced by Sybesmas for around $100. However, I don't know if they offer replacement glass for the Z.

Learn something new everyday. Did not know that fluid was in there for the auto dim.

ebay or a Nissan recycler is best bet

No dimmer on mirror but there is 2 bulbs on the inside interior cabin that I switched to white from ugly OEM yellow. quote for OEM mirrors $50 from wreck. Do I trust that the next Nissan 1 will not screw up in Florida heat. Do you just pull the mirror out of the socket no gluing needed?
