MODS on 153k miles Z

I have a Z with 153k miles (85% highway miles) recently I made an impulsive decision to buy Stillen Gen 3 intakes. I'm thinking now that putting mods on the Z that has always been stock is going to harm the engine because it's been stock for all these miles and isn't going to be use to it. But then again I'm thinking that these should help the engine breathe better and it would help it.

What are you're guys thoughts? I also want to get test pipes soon. Would you guys mod your Z if it had this many miles? I'm keeping my Z forever, so when the engines dies on me or whatever starts to fail, Im going to fix it.

Go for it and don't look back. Highway miles are nothing for a Z.

Do it. After you start nodding you will wish you started 152999 miles ago

Over 130,000 on my engine and just swapped in a lighter weight clutch and flywheel combo....no issues here :)

Remember to wrap the A/C pressure pipe with a piece of split rubber hose where the intake makes contact, (on the passenger side), otherwise it will eventually wear through the pipe.

Definitely do it man. Car will breath better. Then put some exhaust in there and you should be good to go. Good on putting many more hundred thousand miles in that Z!
