Are touring seats uncomfortable?

The placement of the seat controls appears to be in a spot that would dig into your right leg and drive you nuts. Accurate?

axmea? 01-28-2016 10:07 PM

No.

cooltoy 01-28-2016 10:07 PM

Nope.

RickyTan1337 01-28-2016 10:45 PM

Haven't tried the non touring seats but I think my touring seats are quite comfortable

TerribleONE 01-28-2016 11:14 PM

Not at all

DEpointfive0 01-29-2016 12:31 AM

They're great. I've driven 1000 mile no stop trips without issue

dP3NGU1N 01-29-2016 12:58 AM

You shouldn't ask the same question twice in a manner that produces conflicting answers...

Seats comfortable? Sure

Dig into your thigh? No

Yes and no.

jshare1 01-29-2016 01:38 AM

Im so confused, theres bolstering there? Before I knew that my seats were electric adjusting I didn't even know where the controls were.

sp911 01-29-2016 06:08 AM

My touring seats are comfy to me. I'm 6'2" and skinny, maybe a certain body type will have more problems than some. Maybe you just have to play with all the controls until you find your sweet spot.

That's what she said.

sp911 01-29-2016 09:10 AM

:rofl2:

DarkJak 01-29-2016 10:49 AM

There's bolstering and the controls are outside of where your legs would be. Even if your legs sit on top of the sides, the controls are lower down.

Venom13132 01-29-2016 11:59 AM

super comfortable actually.

Justice97 01-29-2016 12:00 PM

Yes they are comfy.
Although I am slim figured. I am sure for others with a different body style it could be quite uncomfortable. My 270lb friend complained the whole 5 minutes drive to an eatery. So size matters.

Can you be comfortable in any seat at 270lbs?

:iagree: maybe drive to the gym instead of an eatery

although the one thing I always loved...

Heated seats :yum:

cooltoy 01-29-2016 01:07 PM

I am 6'2" 210ish. I am perfectly comfortable.

axmea? 01-29-2016 09:33 PM

I'm 4'5 and 230sheeez.

cinderblocked 02-01-2016 06:22 AM

I'm 6'4 230 lbs and have done 8-10 hour drives, stop every now and then to stretch the legs but other than that it's not bad.

MagmaRed370z 02-01-2016 09:20 AM

Your body weight does matter in the 370z seats. If you are 250 and above you will complain.

vrizzo53 02-01-2016 09:29 AM

I'm a bulky muscular 5 10 kid ... I weigh about 205 and I fit very comfortable in it

Leingod 02-01-2016 09:38 AM

I'm 1'2 and am a bit over 1 metric coconut. Touring seats still comfy

PEPI 02-01-2016 10:20 AM

Six ft 1 inch tall.
103kg

Have no problems. But saying that I keep fit - I have friends that weigh about the same - mostly around the middle, and they will complain that the seats are not comfy.

Long trips we take twice a year 6,000km return trip approx Darwin - Adelaide run (Australia) and stop only to stretch/fuel/overnight - seats never a problem.
My wife is about 5 ft high and weighs as much as an ant - she will sleep most of the bloody journey curled up, so the seats are pretty good kit.

ped 02-03-2016 03:24 PM

Touring seats are awesome - and my controls are electronic and on the left side of the seat not the right like you indicated?

Memphis370Z 02-03-2016 06:19 PM

No complaints here. Love mine.

Z-Girl 12 02-03-2016 06:31 PM

Z Touring seats are the 2nd best seats this rear end has had the pleasure of sitting in!!! My G35 sedan sport seat were the best ever.

Pagoda 02-03-2016 07:49 PM

I found the touring seats were not padded enough, dug into my thigh and hip. Also I'm not a little guy. I took the drivers seat out, performed some surgery removing the side bolster wire metal frame and moved the electronic seat control to the front. Still a little digging into leg, but a slight adjustment usually corrects. I may pull it out again and add some more foam...

But its not gonna stop me from driving my Z. All else about the car is awesome.

darkphantom 02-03-2016 08:01 PM

Seat controls going into your leg?? How big are you legs or what are you doing with them?!? 6'0" ~185lbs...i'm fine, gotta stretch every now and then though on those long drives.

Really. At 270 he'd better be 6' 7" + in which case I'd figure he'd complain more about his head bangin' into the roof.
If not, I suggest it's time to put down those burgers...and I mean back down on the plate, not down the throat.

As for the seats, they're great and the controls are so out of the way I often find them tough to get to.

Ok, clearly the issue is me. I sat in a touring briefly and felt like the power seat controls would dig into my thigh. However I just got rid of my G35 6MT and bought a Maxima for a daily and am in search of a 370 to keep my sanity.

I loved the G35 and will likely miss it even with the 370, but the seats drove me nuts. I'm 5'7, and fluctuate between 166-180 depending on race season. The metal framed bolsters KILLED my thighs on longer drives, and I drive a couple hundred miles multiple times a week.

Sounds like you had different results. If you google "G37 seats uncomfortable" you'll see some threads of people cutting out the metal frames for the same reason.

The seat controls weren't digging into leg it was the part of the metal frame it bolted to, so I just relocated the controls so I could secure them.
