Help me decide!

Well I decided to keep my car after all.
But I want to have my cloth seats done in leather but don't know
which color should I go for. As you can see in my avatar I have a
Monterrey blue with black cloth interior, I love red leather but it'll
look as superman's car ( blue with red) , any ideas???

Also want the sound of the exhaust to be more agressive, not
into add more power just for sounds purpose, I don't race :-)

thanks in advance

With seats, I would go blue on the inside with black on the outside. Like these, but with blue instead of gray

According to the color wheel, orange would be your best bet, if you were going to go with a nonmatching color.

persimmon

I wouldn't steer you wrong.

any tips for the exhaust? again nothing fancy, is really for the sound more than anything else

StLRedrider 11-08-2009 03:40 PM

please do not use red, NASTY:icon14:

The Stillen exhaust is a safe improvement with both better sound and more power (know you don't care about power though). There is no drone with the Stillen and it definitely sounds better. Many rave about the Fast Intentions exhaust, but I have no experience with it. From the reviews it seems to be louder than the Stillen, but it has some drone in the commonly used 2-3k RPM range. Also, you'll have to cut your heat shield to install the FI exhaust. The Stillen is a simple bolt on that improves ground clearance over the stock exhaust...the FI has less clearance.

I wouldn't use red for the interior, but a deep maroon/burgundy might be very classy.

Thanks for a detailed recommendation!!
I was thinking about using the same maroon from the bmw 335i for the interior instead of red.

This is a noob question but if i only want the exhaust for sounds purpose do i need to buy something else besides the exhaust???

Thanks in advance

Personally, I love a tan leather interior. Unfortunately, its not available with the Z.

Katzkin Leather Interiors

I think katzkin is junk, and based on an older thread, a few people seem to agree with me. I had issues with it starting to come apart after something like, 2 years.

That's good to know, I've never bought anything from Katzkin.

NewlyIMPORTed 11-08-2009 04:28 PM

HFC's will make it louder or test pipes and that is alot cheaper than a full exhaust so thats what i plan on doing

nogoodname 11-08-2009 04:32 PM

if i were you, i would get the Invidia Gemini exhaust. its less than 1K and totally a good deal too. simple bolt on and good clearence.i would pick it over stillen

check with Amplified Motorsports, tell them i sent you.

you mean keeping the stock exhaust and buying just test pipes?

nogoodname 11-08-2009 04:44 PM

test pipes would cause rasp with the stock exhaust

If not Katzkin who would you go with. I'm about to make that decision for my Nismo.

RECARO has all blue or black with blue seats that match the Z perfect.
