JC-Nismo, awesome response, you're thinking what I'm thinking. It's not like I bought the Z a week ago and haven't enjoyed it, I have had a blast mashing the gas every chance I get and sliding around curves. I'm all about progression and this bad boy is tapped out as far as potential (finances considered). I think it looks almost perfect and there is nothing really more to do. It's also fun making an ugly car a good looking high performer. I'm missing the hobbyist aspect.

I love those side splitters too. Carmax was very gracious and complimentary about the mods. The appraiser mentioned they were tastefully done. They were okay with the exhaust being extremely loud (sounds gorgeous though). I'm not desperate or anything, just looking for some more fun driving. It's tough when bike season is over in Chicago. It's going to be a long time before I get on my zx6r

What year zx6r? I have an 05 636 for over 10 years original owner. Thing is a beast full powercommander and full exhaust with headers bmc air filber keeps up with 1000cc love it. New 636 are sweet with mods like have and being much lighter should be awesome.

Wow we have identical bikes. Mine is the exactly the same as yours minus the header. This was my first season with the PC and wow what a difference. Case in point, your bike wasn't fast enough for you, that's why you modded it. Part of the reason I got the bike was because the Z wasn't fast enough for me, and that was 3 years ago.

Guess what color mine is, hahahaha. Do you think I have enough decals, I think it needs more? (kidding I swear) It's such an awesome bike.

what a great group of people on both this forum and 1addicts. I didn't think both sides would be so objective and unbiased regarding your responses. I appreciate it way more than you know. I'm getting fantastic feedback from both parties. I posted this on a bmw forum as well and the response is similar. They are all very welcoming of the Z many commend it as well.

Well with the 135 you can get the GO factor you are looking for, with FI thats the game here, people saying the 135 is ugly is also not true, in my opinion its a nice looking little car, i would definitely support the jump! better interior newer car and lets all agree much faster (bolt ons and tune). just know that maintenance and BMW parts are much more pricier than the Z with everything said id say go for the 135 but try and find something with lower miles. UPDATE us! GL

I raced an i135 and 335xi, both were JB4 tuned, I was able to beat the 335, but the 135 gave me the *** whooping of my life, it was also on meth.

TPrelude-370z 12-24-2015 07:47 PM

Awesome. Not that you lost, but the affirmation of how fast the 135 is

had an 850,,im thinking u have never had a BMW and have never had to deal with repair parts and dealership:eekdance::eek:

TPrelude-370z 12-24-2015 08:19 PM

Never. It's kind of sad that such an expensive car that is supposed to be so well engineered has so many expensive fixes with very minimal miles. I couldn't imagine my Z ever having issues, let alone at 47k

ZeeBabar 12-24-2015 08:20 PM

This is a silly post. Saying you love your Z but you drive 3500 miles a year????

It's like saying I love my beautiful wife and we make love once every 3 months. Then, 3 years later, she is older and you are considering someone else. I don't believe anyone loves cars, love their Z and have only put on 23000 miles on a 2009. It's beyond ridiculous. Weather is not an excuse either as there are Canadians on this list who drive their Z year round. I live in the Midwest, put blizzaks on and drive year round. I put on 18k a year.

Actually, not enough decals lol..I had to get those cheap ebay fairings because some drunk jerk with no insurance walked in front of my bike late night and I ended up damaging the oem fairings. Suprisingly the ebay fairings fit like oem.

My brother has an 09 m3 so yes they are nice cars to drive but I do not like bmws period. I am more of a merc man as I had a 99 500cl which was awesome but had to sell because it ate too much gas. I know bmw has reliability problems because my sister has a 99 3series she wants to drive of the cliff. Only german cars I like are Porsche and mercs.

Easy there killer, you may not have read the entire post. I drive it year round including the chicago winters my friend. I only drive 3500 miles per year because I literally have a 1 mile commute to work. I can almost guarantee most of the miles you put on your Z are commuting. I also have a motorcycle that I ride in the summer which reduces the miles I drive the Z every year. Maybe I'll get a new job that is really far away so I can put 18k miles per year and become a real Z owner. Perhaps relate it to a girlfriend and not your wife. I'm sure you have had girlfriends before you met your wife. You must have broken up a few times and moved on to something better or different. This is no different. Do you really think you're going to keep your Z forever? Doubtfully, you will probably pick up something new/different in the future. Especially is they toss a Twin Turbo V6 in the Z like the q60.

If you haven't driven both cars, why even chime in? That is the reason for the post.
