370z Dilema

Ok so here's my dilemma:

I've always been a car enthusiast but for some reason i've been thinking on trading the Z for something else like a 335i, Audi S4 or STi. The main reason for this is perhaps to have a 4 seater and having more power.

Before buying the Z I was clear that I wanted a boosted ride for easier HP gains. But the Z was just to damn beautiful.

So, right now i'm considering boosting the Z and buying something like an 2012 Audi A4 for daily use. The only downsize is the huge investment that this TT modification needs (around 15k).

I know that if I trade the Z and get other car i'll end up throwing money on it too so I'm not sure what should be the right path.

My goal is to have a boosted ~500HP Car and i honestly would love to have a boosted Z.

Enlighten me!

Having owned a couple BMW's I should warn you they are terribly unreliable. On top of that the price for parts is right up there with Porsche. The BMW is a great drivers car, but man, it spends a lot of time in the shop. Can't speak for Audi's, but I hear Mercedes aren't reliable either. That's why I went back to Japanese.

btw, i had a question about the 2016 STI's. particularly the STI-Limited without the ricor wing.

Are these still made in Japan or at the indiana plant?

I'd go for a boosted Z and a DD like you mentioned. I personally think the 370 is one of the sexiest cars manufactured in the last 10 or so years. Add a turbo kit and you have the killer combo of looks and power.

TerribleONE 12-15-2015 10:17 AM

Your gonna need more than 15k to boost the Z if you want to do it right.

An what do you recommend? I'm aiming for 500 HP and being able to DD it if necessary.

500hp or 500whp... if 500hp you could get a supercharger.

I love my Fast Intentions TT and I would definitely go the same route if I were to do it over again.

njobe89 12-15-2015 11:58 AM

if you want 500whp, than you need turbo or buy a car that already has 500whp?

carlitos_370z 12-15-2015 11:59 AM

Kevoh in my personal opinion... from the options that you said my recommendation is STI all day long... very reliable... but buy from new here in PR for me is not an option bro... is too expensive.... i dont know if you ask already to the dealer but if you are looking for the STi they are starting from $54k to around $60k for the Sti Limited... is too expensive... just my 2 cents! anyway they are great cars (i have own a 2005 Sti before buy my Z) and i did almost all the mods you can imagine hahah! and i can say that im going to buy another maybe in 2016....

:iagree: Also i have to mention that to reach the 500whp in a STI prepare your pocket.... cause you need big turbo, fuel upgrade, forged internals, etc... just to mention a few things...

The most whp that i reach on my STi before the engine goes was 415whp on 93oct gas with stock internals and a FP Green turbo.... off course i have another upgrades but this is not a Subaru web page hahaha! so im not going to enter in details...
