Need advice on possible purchase??
To give a little background...this time last year I traded my '09 Touring with Sport Package in for a new '14 Infiniti Q60S. I've decided the past few months that I miss my Z and the Infiniti just isn't the same.
Anyway... I found a '15 Sport, Magnetic Black, manual, new (~5 miles). They have it listed for $34,772. I can get it for $31,789 and they will totally pay off me lease for me. Buyout amount is a little over $34k, most dealers are offering me 26.5-29 for trade. 2nd option... found a '14 Touring Sport, White Pearl, manual, used (~303 miles, yes 300). They have it listed for $28,977. I'm not sure yet what they can do on trade...but he said I will only pay a few hundred in taxes and high 20's for trade in. So I am getting less for trade but more car for a cheaper price:roll eyes:. Advice?? |
Personally, it depends on which one you like more. Are you going to be happy with Black or wishing you had gotten white after purchase or vice versa. find the one you want & go from there. Nothing is worse than always wishing you would have because you wanted to save a couple of bucks (within reason of-course)

Personally I would go with the White T/S, oh yeah that's what I have ;) The seats are a bit nicer & breaks up the solid black interior & the pedal set is better. Paint blems are going to be part of the price of the Z unfortunately

I had an 11 Dark Cherry and now have a 14 Pearl White. The BC was beautiful when it was polished, but maintenance to keep it that way was laborious. The PW looks good with just a nice touch-free wash and blow dry. Polishing requirements are minimal. Love the peal white.

I had a similar decision to make a few weeks ago. I think you should go with the 14 in the color you want with the options you want. With mileage that low, is it CPO'd? While it doesn't mean much to everyone, having the CPO status could give a little more peace of mind and is attractive to potential buyers since you can transfer it.
I think you can get a better deal on the 14. I picked one up with the same options as you +navi with 2700 miles + CPO status for about 27k before taxes. We're going into winter and sports cars generally don't sell very well, especially in places where they see harsh winters with lots of snow. I ended up buying my car from CT and driving it back down south. I think you can ink a better deal that what they're asking. |
