Found a z need opinions....

Hello y'all , I've been a z enthusiast ever sense I was little now I'm 23 and can finally afford to buy my own lol my 2k5 4Runner just hit 205k miles and the tranny is going out so I'm going to Carmax to get whatever I can for it to use as my down payment for the Z . So bottom line I found a z

2014 black
19k miles
Touring
Sports package
They want 24.5k

Looked at the car fax says 1 owner and I called the dealership they said the guy that owned it works at the dealership I'm going to get it from so I can go ahead and talk to him (it's at an Audi dealership)

Does this price seem too good to be true to anyone ? Thanks in advance and should I ask the previous owner any specific question ?http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/12...87fef05fdd.jpg

Touring?? or base

That seems really low. My 2012 Sport / Touring with 22K has a retail value of about $27,000. Either you're getting a super good deal or something is up with it. A dealer wouldn't intentionally leave that much on the table.

What you could do is lock down that price with a contract and then take it to an independent mechanic to look at. But I'd get it in writing that you can back out if they find something.

the price is ok... you can find them even for cheaper now. just go on auto trader and look it up. search a little outside your comfort zone. i usually do 100-200 miles. sometimes you can save a couple thousand.

I got my 2014 brand NEW with 6 miles on the ODO for 27k total out the door. I got the sport 6MT, no touring stuff.

That said, I don't expect many to get that kind of deal, I got lucky and found the car at the right time..

But still 2014 with 19k miles seems a bit overpriced at 25k to me, IMO it would be a good deal around the 22k price range

sounds like a reasonable price. i got mine with 10k miles for 27k. 2012 (2011 production) of a touring with sport package. no nav/tech though.

is dat ride lowered?

air deflector looks damaged?

Looks stock height to me. And my 'air deflector' is all scratched on bottom also, and that's on nice VA roads.

DO IT!! Good deal to me like everyone else. As long as carfax is clean (which realistically only goes so far). Do what I did with both my Z's. Have them put it on the lift so you can look under the car. Everything but under the car always looks perfect. Seeing under it will really tell you the true story behind the car. That helped me stop a "for sure deal" i thought i was getting. If your not too sure what to look for, bring a mechanic or a guy that really knows what he's (or she :) ) is looking at/for. I was able to find a few minor things on both my Z's and the dealer went ahead and fixed it.

Cheers, and welcome to the Z family (hopefully)

BTW i got my 2012 Z roadster sport/tech package for $25K Out the door. 24K miles

Got my 14' T/S edition new off the showroom for $34k in September.

You guys are huge help , I'll be in a z before the New Years. Literally will not get any other car . I'll post again in the new owners section the day I get it. Thanks again

my opinion is take your time. do not rush buying. you're in more control right now because it's winter and people will want to offload/ not have them sit in lots.

patience will get you a better deal. it worked for me. lower mileage and lower price vs one i was about to jump into

As an FYI, CarFax runs at least 6 months behind. Check the other agency (run by Equifax I think). It tends to be a little more up to date.
