2011 With Steering Lock Issue?

I didn't think this was a concern for me, but my car is at the stealershit right now being worked on with the diagnosis of a steering lock failure. I didn't think this would affect me, and reading through the steering lock thread I don't see anything over a 2010 listed. Any other 2011+ people have this setback?

First crap paint defect, then Axle Click, then a sheared clutch pedal, then a CSC failure, now steering lock

I will NOT be getting another nissan. Luckily I have a 1960 car that runs better than my stock Z so I have a backup.

2011 here, and it happened to me as well.

Luckily it happened in my own driveway and I was able to disengage the lock by way of a wooden mallet and pulled the fuse.

It only happened about a mile from my house so I just walked back home and called a tow-truck.

The dealership asked if I had an extended warranty, which I don't. I don't trust the dealership to work on my car (the last time they did they changed the water pump and forgot to add coolant). But it would have saved me a few grand over the past year.

I don't trust any dealers here either that's why I went to town on the lock unit and got it unlocked. It's the silver metal box underneath your steering column, just whack it from an angle a few times and it should release, you will hear a noise once it does. Pull the #10 fuse on the hood and you should be gud!

Btw, my car is a late 2010 built.

My 2009 has the recall and the recall one died.
Axle click too... For the second time as well... This time the dealer won't fix it, they say it's the pads shifting...
