Wrecked Z in Texas

Okay so here's the deal. It's been raining here in North Texas lately. Was coming home in the pouring rain 2 weeks ago and hydroplaned into the center median. Wasn't even going the speed limit, just had luck on I35 where there's quite a bit of construction going on.

I have a white 2012 Z 30k miles has all stillen bolt ons and a stillen front bumper.

The whole front of the car is wrecked. I think the intakes are still good bumper is toast drivers side airbags deployed. I'm all good but my car is a little banged up to say the least. I have good insurance with Nationwide they have been taking good care of me.

What I want to know is any advie anyone has for me before I get into the process of them fixing my Z. The motor would rev up after the crash but it would not move. I think either there is something wrong with the tranny or it at least is not aligned well. Id like to get a new stillen front bumper and have my car fixed the exact way I had it. I may be dreaming there but I've never wrecked a car before or gone through this process.

I also want to see if anyone knows of some good shops here in North Texas, I'm in Denton specifically, where I can trust they will bring my car back to its pristine condition.

Thanks for any and all help. This is something that is kinda heavy on my heart as I put a lot into this car already and want her back the way she was.

Unless its in your policy expect the damaged aftermarket parts to be a total loss. First thing you will need is to get it inspected by your insurance. From there its up to you decide for them to cut you a check and decide whether or not you want to fix it or have a cheaper shop to fix it. The insurance normally has its recommended certified body shops though. Just by browsing the private classifieds, you could pretty much make your car like new for very, very cheap granted you do most of the install or know a shop at a good hourly rate. No clue how bad the car is, and that engine sounds like it could be in bad shape. Did air bags deploy? Got any pics? Also was a police report filed?

Edit: Air bags deployed, sounds totaled.

No police report. I had it towed off before the cops ever even had a chance to show up. Idk if that's bad or not. I am kind of 50/50 on if it's totalled or not but my phone was dead at the time so no pics. It's all front end damage. But my steering wheel air bag deployed and the side one hit me right in the side of the face. I will say this for the Z it is a very safe car considering. I walked away with nothing but scrapes.

I didn't know if there was a good place someone could recommend. They have an appraiser looking at it like now so I'll know soon if it's total loss or can be repaired. I have quite a bit of money invested so I hope it's not totaled. If it's totaled can I take my **** off the car?

Thanks for the reply man I apprciat it.

Sorry about your car, it may not be totalled the adjuster should give you a price based on mileage and condition.
Usually aftermarket parts fall into a accessory coverage that can be added into a total value of a claim payout.
Make sure you have photos and reciepts and if they do total it out you may still have a chance to buy it back with a salvaged title.

Title like this need not specify Texas... Only specify,. ACCIDENT NOT IN TEXAS. We just automatically assume all accidents happen in Texas. Land of Driving idiots. Hope you're OK... Sorry about your car.
