Even I know it'll explode about how GAMMA and GTM are all bad. Always gotta be bringing them up and stuff lol

Soo.... yeah....

I'm still wondering how the external slave is used to save weight.

My understanding is that Joe @ ZSpeed will not warranty an HD CSC paired with a Spec clutch if anything goes bad. That right there should tell you something. That pairing has gone bad for several people on this forum.

As for miSHITmoto, I would just make absolutely sure that you do NOT use their thermostatic plate. The o-rings have been known to fail and dump your oil while driving down the road; your oil light (low oil pressure) should come on just in time to tell you that your motor is done and you need to pull over :shakes head: Mishitmoto acknowledges the problem and will offer to ship you new o-rings should the old ones fail. That's not to mention that I would rather spend my money on a setrab or mocal core and not a knock-off.

It doesn't. It's actually heavier than the HD CSC. It comes with a big metal bracket that bolts up to the outside of the transmission for one end of the external slave. And the other end bolts up to a big metal fork that connects it to the transmission. Either of these metal pieces probably weighs more than the HD CSC. Plus the slave cylinder is much bigger and holds more fluid.

Right, that's why I'm waiting on an explanation.

And the CSC eliminator, is more for people who track the car a bunch because it is lightweight.

i thoguht the external was good for people who track cause they can slam the clutch without having to drop the tranny everytime they blow up their slave.

well i mean thats what slaves are for right? being whipped around and getting beaten to death :(

Stay far, far away from spec. There is no warranty on the Hd csc with a spec because they will cause it to fail. Ask me how I know that.

And mishimoto is the worst possible choice for an oil cooler. Don't buy Chinese garbage. Do it right the first time.

Thank you. i read that and :wtf2::wtf2:.

i think the premature csc wear happens to those clutching-in too quickly after high rev.
even through the excitement, i think one needs to play it cool on the 370Z and go gentle during clutch-in even if one dumps it into the next gear going WOT.

This is because you have 2 totally different clutch designs between the 2 cars, The 370Z/G37 clutch is what causes these issues at high RPM, What you are feeling is the pressure plate "reversing" from centrifugal force. Just a bad design. This can be corrected to a point with proper clutch adjustment. If you are pushing the clutch slave too far because the adjustment is too far out it will make it worse.

The earlier 350Z/G35 clutch or a quality aftermarket doesn't have this issue.
Is has 0 to due with the slave design.
Jamming the pedal should not effect the slave either (unless it's a stock OEM unit that is getting ready to let go)
