Clutch Problem.

Does anyone else's clutch pedal make a [knock] right at the 7/8 mark before you release the clutch?

its normal, it comes from the clutch guard

Nissan needs to address this ongoing MT/clutch bug A.S.A.P. Ironically, and contrary to most other auto makes, ATs on Zeds are flawless. I own an '04.5 Touring Coupe 350Z, and it's been a s-w-e-e-t experience, not just the tranny, but in all other areas/systems. Greetings, dudes!

Its just a little clutch chatter. My G does it as well. No issue.

Same here. I get a little chatter, nothing major. About 25% of the time, it shifts without the chatter. I've heard people say it improves after a few thousand miles, but it really isn't that big of a deal for most people to start with.

OK, today I experienced the same thing as the OP. I'm letting the clutch out, its almost at the very top and it makes a knock/pop sound and I can feel it in my foot as I'm releasing the clutch. Its not chattering or anything like that, but a distinct knock/pop. It doesn't happen when I depress the clutch, only when I'm releasing it. Its also is more noticeable when shifting in lower gears.

I know that some of you guys say this stuff is normal, but it never happened before today. Is this something I should see the dealer about?

You should have driven my old Alfa, twin-plate clutch was da bomb, made all sorts of noises, big fun.
