Well, that's an interesting fact. (thanks !)

Oddly enough, it seems to be the Americans who "demand" a name on their cars while Europe is content with numbers and letters. LOL

North America wasn't happy driving Toyota's so the company made luxury versions and called them LEXUS and just marketed them against BMW, etc. (Luxury EXport United States)

That's how the story goes anyway...

I love MY Fairlady Z :)

just think of it as:

RSX = Integra in japan
370z = Fairlady in japan

That pretty much sums it up in a few words. :D

Isn't that interior upgrade really expensive?

Japan loves to change the name of their cars before they bring them over here. To be honest I prefer the Japanese names most of the time over ours. Like the Soarer over the SC300, Altezza over the IS300, and of course the Fairlady Z. They even dumb down some cars on top of changing the name like the Silvia S13/S14.

I did the same thing as you...traded in a Shelby Mustang GT for my 370Z. The Mustang was just too raw and unrefined in looks...great power...but power just isn't the sum total of a car which totally escapes comprehension by the power-heads.

I just laugh now given the piss-azz ugly design of the 2010 Mustangs. And its no secret that Ford knows they made a huge design mistake changing the rear-end design of the 2010. But that is what happens once a car's design is old and tired...there is no place to go with the design....

In Japan they don't even pronounce it fairlady.

Its "fair leady" or "fair ready"

So it sounds ready to go.

Fear Ready!

frost, where can i get that tag frame?

frost 10-31-2009 10:59 AM

I beieve i got it at autozone. But that was a couple years ago.

frost 10-31-2009 10:59 AM

it looks great, but it really is sharp as hell, cuts your hands all up with you try to wash around it. And it eats whatever towel gets near it, rofl.
