shumby 01-02-2009 11:57 PM

Didn't you know? The 370Z paint can self heal. Its amazing. Just ask Shumby about it. He knows. lol

shumby 01-03-2009 12:47 AM

I definitely think investing in a clear bra is a worthwhile expense. I know I will be having it done.

Me too... We have moron truck operators out here that move rocks and dirt from construction sites without covering their trailers. Rocks and dirt smack my hood, bumper, and glass pretty much every day.

clear bra

does anyone know a place where they can install clear bra in texas???

FricFrac 03-03-2009 07:58 PM

Does anyone have a contact for a supplier for the clear bra material. I've got a body guy that now does vinyl signs, etc so I'm sure he'd be a shoe in for applying it :)

Has anyone had this on a black car? Does it do Ok on black? I love the idea but am a little worried about getting it on a black car. Seems like it would be a no-brainer on a lighter colored car.

Here's a link to the photo gallery belonging to the guy who did this on my Z. He takes pics of all the cars he considers hot and puts them in his gallery. It should give you an idea. He's done a lot of black cars.

My questions:
~Washing a car, same?
~Edges, does it collect dust, dirt, etc.?
~Besides protecting from flying rocks, etc., does it help repel general dirt at all or collect it more?

semtex 03-04-2009 04:30 PM

In order:
Yes
No
Collects dirt the same as normal paint does. No more, no less.

Well that is good to know, guess I can add that to the list of things I will get done right away. I was just worried about it collecting dust at the edges and making it worse, thanks for clarifying.

On light colored vehicles you an see dirt over time along the edge lines.

I use Plexus as a finishing polish and cleaner on the bra surfaces.
