In CA the police profile you for everything. Clothes, hygiene, hat direction, sunglasses, age, type of car, etc. You name it and they will more than likely profile the hell out of it. So if you are driving in CA and doing whatever you may be doing that you do not want to get pulled over for, help yourself out by giving yourself the best shot. -Don't wear beat to hell clothes that are dirt colored and have holes everywhere - Clean up the outside appearance towards your hygiene. I.e. Shaved or at least well maintained. I always include brushing teeth in this one too even though its not the outside hygiene. If you don't brush your teeth, well... ummm.. :wtf2: -Hat direction: If you ever wear a hat in CA while driving or have even a passenger in your front seat ALWAYS WEAR HATS FORWARD! Especially driving our Z's lol Police profile wearing hats backwards as a symbol of speed and that you drive fast. -Age and type of car: if you are young driving the Z like me.. you often will get pulled over and the officer will merely make sure you have all of your paperwork.. annoying as hell because it wastes 20 mins of your day cause they decide to do those very slowly in their patrol car. -Windows: if you're windows are rolled down anytime at night the police will profile that you are under the influence of some sort and trying to stay focused with cold air So for me I have experienced both sides of the spectrum. I'm 20 and have a 370z that I pay for myself, I go to work dressed in a suit minus the vest and have never once gotten pulled over while dressed and in that appearance. For me an example; make it a Sunday on a weekend that I didn't maintain my facial hair and I let it grow for the weekend, throw in wearing a hat backwards, sunglasses, addidas workout pants, and a painting shirt (since I was painting some things that day) plus I almost always have my windows down unless it is just beyond hot with the windows down too. I got pulled over twice in twenty minutes, just going to the store about 2 miles from where I live. Different officer both times and different reasons 1. officer pulled me over because I am a younger looking individual and wanted to make sure I had proper documentation for the car and that it wasn't stolen. Everything checked out of course. 2. officer pulled me over because I had a hat backwards windows down and he stated that he saw me bring a white cigarette looking cylinder to my mouth and blew smoke out of my window. Of course he is talking about a joint. He said he smelled it coming from my car when I have never once brought it into my Z.. I am not ruining my interior lol yes I do have a medical license, but for residual injuries from playing football. I knew he was phishing for something and I knew that there wasn't anything he was going to find. He proceeded searching my car while I was back by his partner at the patrol car searched me. (grabbed my family jewels a couple times, woman cop too.. :yum:) To end it, the officer came back to his patrol car and laid out a little licensed container of what was previously mentioned. He said "I found this in your car, no paraphernalia though" At this point I know I am out of him trying to frame me and plant evidence because I can drive around with it as much as I want as long as I'm not over the limit in possession and not under the influence while driving. I confirmed with him asking "you found that in my car?" He said "yes, in the storage compartment in the dashboard." Right now I am still standing by the front of his car with handcuffs on too now because he thinks he is taking me in for possession of an illegal substance. I said something next he wasn't expecting too. I said "Well thank you for finding that for me, I've searching for that here is my license and proof of documentation" (of course I hadn't been searching for it because like I said I don't bring it into my Z)... The look on the officers' faces was just priceless. He checked out all my paperwork and made sure it was valid and as presumed was valid. He came back to me and took the cuffs off and said "get your things and get the hell out of here" in a very stern tone. On my way from the officers I asked "Do I get to keep the canny you found in my car since it is valid medicine for me?" He didn't seem to like the "smart *** answer" even though it is a completely valid question. He said very loudly and more sternly " NO.." I asked him "so does that mean that you stealing a medical patients medicine?" He scream at me "GET BACK IN YOUR VEHICLE OR WE WILL ARREST YOU" I said "of course officer, not a problem. Although one last thing, I'd like your badge number, name and main police department phone number for his employing city" He wasn't as angry anymore I could tell and he asked "why?" And I said because I will be reporting your corrupt and unlawful actions as a police officer. Because I had no attitude with the officer and stayed completely calm, no sarcasm no interrupting nothing. I was entirely respectful to him, and that led him to give me his information in an efficient manner with no further arguing. He knew he had tried planting on the wrong person :owned: |
^dude, that just makes me sick. Luckily, my encounters have been minimal but I don't know if I would have been able to control myself if that **** happened.
Thankfully I have a camera in my car in the event something like that were to ever happen...but damn, effing corrupt-*** pigs! |
Honestly if I didn't have a medical license or he planted something else besides weed and he did that I would be extremely pissed off too.
When he showed me what he had found, I literally was laughing my *** off in my head. I was like well I'm outa this situation on top if I play my cards right. got him to confirm everything of where he found it in my vehicle and then just be like oh well I'm allowed to have it so buhh bye and oh do I get to keep that of which you found in my car? |

OP - I had a thread on here on what type of comments you receive in your car, most people said positive but I get all sorts in Austin. http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...our-car-3.html |
Always positive comments when I'm not driving. People will stop me in parking lots to say how much they like it. But as soon as I hit the road it feels like everyone wants to race. Super annoying.

There are two things you can make of it; he thinks:
1) You have a nice car 2) You're a faggot I'm sure you can decide if one/both/none of these is a compliment or insult based on your own criteria. And since what he said shouldn't affect you in any way, it doesn't matter what you or anyone else makes of it. Right? :) But there is one thing we can all make of it: He proved that he's an @sshole, although maybe to him "faggot" is a term of endearment. |
