I can hear the exactly same noise you guys discribed. It sounds like I am oprating a jet or I have a turbocharger in my car! I own a g35 coupe and drove many g37x before, never heard this noise tho... I am going to bring my car to the Nissan dealership again. But before I walk into their door, is there any offical fix for that? Or haven't Nissan confirmed it's the ECU? Fuel pump? Diff? Or my ear problem???
If dealership can't fix it this time, I will have to install HKS Hi-Power catback to eliminate this problem. :icon17: |

I haven't noticed any high pitched frequency at all
|
it's only on certain cars. mine does not have it but the other car i test drove the same day had the high pitched CRT TV tone.
|
Yep. It only affects some of the '09s and maybe a few '10s. Mine had it bad.
|
haven't heard it yet, but my droid has a frequency analyzer app downloaded on it. good way to check it out/prove it to the dealer if necessary.

Ill throw my .02 in. G37 owners (no shock there) have a similar problem. I have it in my car, an 09 G37x. It sounds like its comming through the speakers. I can only tell when the radio is off. It doest happen at idle, but a tiny bit of gas gets it to make the CRT Monitor type sound. Sound dosent really change pitch or tone with any higher rpms other than idle.
Sucks but i dont have the energy to fight with Infiniti. |
