Headlight delay

Anyone have an idea how to change the Auto Headlight Delay from the default 45 seconds? The manual says it can be changed with the computer but I can't find it.

45 seconds? if i sit under a bridge for more than 5 seconds my lights go on. i turn off the auto when i go to school because of it.

I believe it can be changed if you have the navigation, but not 100% sure (as I do not have the navigation).

He's asking about the automatic off delay, I believe.

From the owner's manual:

Quote:

For automatic headlights off delay setting, see
“Auto Headlights Off Delay” in the “4. Monitor,
heater, air conditioner, audio, phone and voice
recognition systems” section.
That section references models with equipped navigation systems only. It appears us non-nav's are stuck with the 45 second delay, and nav owners get to choose from 0-180 seconds.

Well the dealer can change it for you indefinitely. Though I do recall someone was able to change it through pressing certain buttons.

That's what I thought...I'll ck with the dealer and see if they have any idea.

So the dlr is able to change the auto on feature? I have the nav and was able to set the auto off feature for when i close the door after getting out. But the auto on feature does bug me sometimes that it turns on everytime im under a bridge for a few seconds.

You can change it yourself if you have the nav.
