Worth trying to fix?
1 Attachment(s)
Ok, need a little help as I have no clue if this is going to end up 100% straight again. Just took my delivery on my 15 Nismo 2 weeks ago and some A-hole hit the driver side fender with something while it was parked at Whole Foods:eek2:
Haven't brought it to the body shop yet, but is it worth fixing or just replacing the fender. Its right on the crease so I don't know if it will every straighten out properly without causing a wave. Any one suffer a simliar dent? |

Sorry that happened! And this is why I hate people... (clearly referring to people inconsiderate and oblivious to their surroundings)
P.S. Probably a Prius driver :-( |
yah sorry to see. :(
a competent PDR tech can probably fix it but chances are your body shop will quote a new fender and paint. check for paintless dent repair shops near u |

Unfortunately if that doesn't work, shopping at Whole Foods literally might just cost a whole paycheck |
No worries, like Ken said, a good paintless dent removal person can get that right out. Will likely be in the $100 range. The dent hardly makes it to the sharp bend in the panel, so it should straighten right out.

sorry to hear it.
eff whole food's parking lots. they seem to be a magnet for d-bag parkers. last time i was at a whole food's, i saw some lady in a mini van rake the entire side of a toyota avalon while talking on the phone. she looked around, saw me staring at her, and started backing out. i got out of the car to get the plate, and this @#$@# takes off in reverse (was impressive considering she didn't seem to know how to park). i could only make out the first couple letters of the plate and the fact that it was a Honda Odyssey. Months earlier I had some jackass back in to my Xterra. Fortunately his vehicle took the majority of the damage and I was feeling generous, so I just let him go. Anyway... warning... don't drive your Z to whole foods. |
Let 'Em Go?
Give no Quarter!

PDR will be closer to 300 for that..
Fixing over decorative lines is quite difficult. But you won't have to worry about paint matching of they can fix it. |
Everything's repairable, but in my experience insurance companies like to replace things rather than fix them.

Thanks for the info and suggestions. Not planning on going through insurnce, I will look for a local PDR Monday and see what they think first. Wish me luck

It's kind of high up, but it could have been a Miata door, there strong.
Sucks that it happened, but at least it was a fender and not a door or quarter panel, that would have been much worst to get fixed. |
