What Accessories have you bought?
 

Yesterday, I went on an ebay/amazon rampage buying accessories like license plate frames, keychains, and stickers. There's a lot of emphasis on mods, but not much on the "little things".

What accessories have you purchased so far?

I saw some really nice wheel nuts with a painted "Z" on them, but I'm not sure if they were locking or not. I can't find them anymore though.

touring pedals, autodim home link mirror, new HU, backup camera...some interior led's, rocker switches, rear fog lamp.... i think that's it.

as for the plate frames i got a matte black one from griot's garage. they have some high quality ones.

Thanks Matt. They sell for $20 at the dealer, and I can make sure I get the right size if I'm there. That's the one though.

I wonder if my dealer is the only one that overcharges for all the accessories? :shakes head:

8) Maybe...supercharger - has to work with the above, except the G3 intake of course. Must have intercooler and overall, not blow the 7AT...at least, until I get to a point financially where I can pay to rebuild it every 6 months ;)
9) Also a maybe; KW Variant 3's, probably get that lifting dealy so I can get in and out of more places without scraping...some places are HORRIBLE around here, and I have to avoid those places...
10) Maybe, upgraded Swaybars


Actually before those maybes, probably get some kind of lift or ramps or something...my current setup doesn't work =/

Did you purchase the wheel locks directly from the dealer?

oh, i also got raceramp flatstoppers for her hibernation... she's already plugged into the battery manager during the weekday since i dont drive her M-F.

You can buy from dealer or online stores. But PLEASE make sure you get the right kind. Please look at the sticky in wheels/tires section for more info.

My friend has a radar detector and it seems to only go off when:

a.) a cell phone rings....grrrr...
b.) a cop already is in range to tag you with radar.


That's a 2 year old radar detector, so perhaps they've been improved.

What brand is it? Is it one of those cheap 50 dollar ones from best buy?

It sucks, but to really get a good quality radar you have to spend some money, V1 is 450-500, Escort top of the line (forget what model they are on) is 499 (MSRP).

sorry to bring this up from the dead, but Im looking for a brushed stainless 370Z license plate frame. I see the Zstore has black and polished in what I want, has anyone found a brushed one?

Update

One of the things that I appreciated about the E46 M3 was the availablilty of cool accessories. There was a place that sold plastic paint matched license plate frames in the facotory paint codes. So simple but it was a really clean/cheap mod that I really dug. I went to a specialty fastener shop locally and got some stailess fasteners and washers for mounting and it came out really nice. Also there were roundels (the BMW propeller emblem) in any color combo, would be nice to get some options like that for the Nissan emblem AKA "the hamburger" lol.

Anyone know of a place that sells factory Nissan paint color frames?


Also for those who installed the factory rear cargo cover on a Base or Nismo, does it just pop right on? I imagine it would but just wanted to check if any modification was necissary.
