2013 nismo

Hello all, since we are nearing the end of the production run of the 370z I have to believe there are those who have my mods:

AEM long tube intake.
NST underdrive pulleys, set of two.
Short throw shifter, I know not hp mod but it gets the power to the ground faster.
Motordyne Manifold
Ground kit (I call ******** on the claims but it's on there, some gain by making it, this helps autmatics, proven)

$500 dynox2, I'm asking for an estimate, not dead on numbers. What do you guess I'm getting to the wheels.

Thanks in advance.

I have not have a cbe,
the nismo is as good as I would want because it is not ridiculous loud and the nismo stock is quiet and not far behind aftermarket breathing. This is my oppinion, I can be wrong, hehe. I know some buy CBE that are designed just to "sound like they are doing aomething".

I' m lying, I want a Fi...but at the price, if you don't have the cash and think the money would garner gaines elsewhere, any suggestions?

If it's a lie 2 different dyno shops told me I'm puting 302 and 305 to the ground bone stock, before mods. Since the mods, no tune. Educated guess, what am I putting down? Better yet, what are these mods worth hp/tq wise, forget the motor they are attached to.

Don't expect 300+ bonestock, you might not even hit that with your current mods.

wont push 300 whp with those mods without TPS/HFC and a Catback. id say around 290 whp at most

What does a Nismo make stock maybe 285-290? The pulley kit and the intake/tune might get him to 300, though the m370 might work against him. I don't really know anything about the AEM intake though, but if it's close tot he Stillen g3 CAI, it might get there. He might be at 300-305whp as is. If it's a friendly dyno and the AEM is as good as the Stillen, he might even hit 310. There's no way a stock Nismo puts down 300-305 stock like those shops told him though.

This is the part where the forum says I'm lying...I got dyno'd before any bolt ons; one read 305 at the wheels and after coming here I felt like maybe that was wrong.

There is a picture of it in my profile under My 370z 305 hp, 252tq.

The370z.com - "A shop can dial it into whatever they want you to see" was common comment. Being I've been to dyno shops a lot in my younger years I agreed and got a second opinion.

Did not tell the second shop about the first.

Different shop, no mods 302 to the ground, head mechanics question.."you sure this is unmodified stock"
Me"yes"
Mechanic"wow that's healthy, can I post your run sheet, it won't have your name on it"
Me"sure"

I have the print outs, what I was looking for is a minimum power gain estimate based on the mods I did put on as I've not dyno'd it since then because cash wise I wanted to tune at the same time, which is expensive in my area.

I don't want to argue base power, not the intent of the thread. Just what to know with my particular bolt on, at minimum, I can expect. Or a range, not even looking for maximum because maximum from manufacturers is always already stacked with go fast goodies.

AEM is not a favorite around here but a gen3 gets roughly 2 hp more than what I have. Mine tucks the filters in the front half of the wheel well, gen3 tucks it under the front bumper.

I have a long history of satisfactory products from AEM from Honda, VW, Subaru and Mitsubishi so i went with them on name recognition.

I'm just looking for and estimate of potential power gains I have, nothing more.

As always, thank you to the370z.com community for the help.

Edit - I will accept and "I don't know" and not feel bad about it.

Hey, if I were you I'd be speculative. With sheets in hand I'm speculative. That said, I'm looking for a cumulative total of potential gain based on what I have.

The follow up, which is what I was trying to get to, is what should I get next, save for a CBE. I hear downpipes are a very good $/hp ratio. Looking for a ranking, 1,2,3 so on etc.

So if I run out of money at 2, well hey I got as much as I could with the cash I had.

So low side 20hp, high side 35. Thanks a bunch for so much discussion on my question.

Thanks...

I hit 301/245 w/ stillen g3 and FI cbe. ART pipes gave me another 7hp/5tq

Thank you for the useful information. Would you say that was the cash vs gain you purchased?
