Need opinions!

So I finally think I found a body shop that will install my body kit. I just moved to the area, so its not like I know these guys forever, but they have a good customer base and reviews. The question is, should I set my car to the Valet setting, or should I leave it on the tuned or regular settings and not be so worried?? I see so many stories of joyrides gone wrong, or simply abusing the car driving. My car is totally modded and is so much beyond stock, it would be easy for a novice to crash it, and is so loud and tempting to want to try. I need to know what you guys are thinking and would do in similar circumstances. Thanks in advance, I hate saying TIA because at work thats a term for a stroke, and it confuses me:P

For the record im leaning towards just putting it on valet. This isnt a Camry.

I vote valet tune. If they are honest, they probably won't even know/notice. But if they are dishonest, they may know how to change the tune map. I always take pics of the mileage, too. No reason to drive the car for body kit install.

lol jp :rofl2:

True good idea, I will def do that. I know after speaking to me they already realize how protective/ocd I am about my car.

or note down the mileage before hand, mention to the head mechanic you had a bad experience and then they will probably think you're being a weener but atleast they know you're a helicopter owner :)

Valet mode, for sure. You've got it, so you might as well use it!

Now I know ill already get a little shiz for asking the question. But its the first Ive heard about Valet Mode. I'm afraid to let people drive my car period since it has a SPEC stage 3 clutch not including the other mods. I know they will stall it if they have never driven such a performance stage. I would rather save me the heartache of seeing them stall it... again...
There has been one person so far that hasn't stalled it and drove the car like if I would and he has driven plenty of Stage 2's and 3's

How is that Valet Mode engaged, just so I know for the future?

The valet mode is one of the maps you can choose from when your Z has been tuned. I have Ecutek and it has valet mode. I'm sure that UpRev has it as well. Someone will chime in and confirm.
