This happened today :shakes head: lady hit the pickup truck behind me, he hit me. Not much i can say, except that im bummed. On the other hand, it could have been worse, no one was hurt. Police report was filed, will start making calls tomorrow to get the ball rolling

Sorry to see that. I hope it will be fixed properly and be back on the road soon.

darkphantom 05-05-2015 08:20 PM

Ouch, but that looks like it'll buff right out! Glad to know it wasn't anything serious.

Yeah, it couldve definitely been worse. Theres some work that has to be done on the bumper, but nothing major in the end.

zae757 05-05-2015 09:35 PM

That looks like someone will be getn a new aftermarket bumper

Atleast it wasen't a hit and run . In 2011 a s2k was T boned in an intersection while i was stopped. The s2k slid into my front bumper popping out my fog lightbulb and causing few mild dents and scratches.. Well it turned out that the s2k's owners insurance only covered $10,000 and the total damage to the car that t boned the s2k was $20,000+.. I went to a well established body shop and gave me an estimate of a lil more than $1000 which included a new bumper And 2 new complete fog lights which was unnecessary.. Anyways out of the s2ks $10,000 insurance money they were gonna give me 500 and the other party 9500 i agreed but the other party dident so i waited for i think more than 2 years with a ugly front bumper till they accepted... I spent 300 for one dude to fix it up with a repaint and heatgun to pop out the dent.. Bought a fog light bulb and popped it in. Pocketed the rest $

Sorry for the boo-boo on the Z. hopefully it will all be patched up soon, not only that it gives you a chance to get any mods done too. Maybe in the process a nice diffuser. Just an idea.

Lets see some pics when everything is fixed too!

Amj2020 05-08-2015 10:06 AM

Time for Amuse, Zele, or any other nicer ***

AngelNismo 05-08-2015 03:54 PM

That's so upsetting. Sorry that happen to you!

P's_Z 05-08-2015 10:53 PM

Lets see what happens! Thing is investing in a rear bumper would also mean investing in side skirts, front bumper, front lip, etc. to make it all come together. Truth of the matter, and unfortunately, there are some other priorities that i need to take care of first, but believe me im itching to buy new parts for the Z :excited:

Tomorrow im taking her to be inspected and get an estimate of the damages.

P's_Z 05-14-2015 09:07 PM

A bit of an update:had the damages quoted and it all comes to $635. Already got the check and will be leaving the Z in the shop on monday, and hopefully getting it back by next friday

axmea? 05-14-2015 09:14 PM

Good no one got hurt. I see an opportunity. Cash out and get an amuse bumper.

Nice, did you just let the shop "buff" it out or what? New bumper...??

axmea? 05-21-2015 10:06 PM

Glad you're getting her back P.

Shouldn't be a full replacement. What should be inspected and replaced are the pieces you do not see and sitting behind the bumper.

P's_Z 05-23-2015 12:58 PM

Finally, got her back! Nothing had to be replaced, the shop was able to fix the existing bumper and repainted. They even painted the valance, in case anyone is interested... (Mr kenchan) :stirthepot:

Very happy with results, the shop did a good job. Ill even get $100 in return

Sorry for the huge pics

Thanks axmea! I was unable to inspect it unfortunately, but shop confirmed all was good. Ive done business with them before, plus the damage really wasnt that much. The bumper was slightly bent, but remained perfectly aligned with the rest of the cars lines, so i feel confident.
