when I was 17 i bought my first z, a red 350z hr ( only recently got rid of it). Saved up enough for a down payment, got straight A's, and all that jazz. Spent the first day doing burn outs and hauling *** up and down the parkway until ( fortunately) my dad busted me on his way home before the PD did, but they did show up at the house ready to drop the hammer on my ***. I drove a shitbox old school camry ( miss it lol ) for a year after that while my z stayed in the garage and I learned to respect it. For that entire year i drove the z only on a few weekends,my bday to prom and to graduation. Respect your car before you get your *** in trouble, good kid or not, we don't know everything at a young age. Had a lot of friends wrap themselves around trees learning the hard way. |
hahaha go kill yo-self!

Street Survival This school is designed for younger drivers who want to understand the limits of their car in wet and dry conditions. It is well worth it. Sponsored by TireRack, SCCA, Porsche Club, and BMW CCA, these guys will send you through the ringer on wet/dry skid pad, autocross, slalom, lane change, and maximum braking tests in various conditions. It is an all day event with equal parts classroom and driving your own car. I wanted to do it but they only permit entry to 15 to 21 year old drivers with learners permit or drivers license. It is the best $75.00 you or your parents will ever spend. And you get to drive your car, to the limits and beyond, all while an experienced performance driving instructor is with you. How much more fun could you have. |

Age has nothing to do with driving skill. When I was growing up a friend of mine was running quarter midgets when he was 12. He could handle a car very well. The flip side is the ability to make good decisions, you know, maturity. It's all about making good decisions. You can be a mediocre driver yet make great decisions, resulting in a great driver. My wife being an example. Not sure how mature I am at 58. |
at age 16, i was driving a push lawn mower...
|
jpkirk, im sure he had extensive training, spent his time practicing instead of posting things on a forum trying to seek attention.

Driving skill doesn't really translate on the street anyway. Sure it's nice to have the skills to make an accident-avoiding maneuver that most average drivers could not make. However, it's the constant decisions made while driving among other people on public roads that determines how safe a driver one is. Safe drivers rarely make bad decisions and frequently make good ones. Don't pick up your phone; don't do your makeup; don't read $hit; check your mirrors often; know your route before you get in the car; don't react to that aggressive driver; be polite to other drivers; all of these things work towards a safer and friendlier road environment.
Age can play into it quite a bit, but it's more about experience. The more experience you have on the road practicing safe driving habits, the safer driver you are :driving: |

Please, steal those words, adapt them to fit what you want to say, I gladly give you my permission, not that it was required anyway. You might be surprised at what happens. :icon17: I would think it very cool to hear about your experiences at a school like this. Edit: BTW, a school like this, along with good grades, oh ... and no tickets ... could have a significant impact on insurance premiums. |

i guess the point of this entire thread is unless you buy condoms in person at a brick and mortar store instead of online like amazon, you're still a virgin..

My grandmother was a smoker for many years of her life. One holiday during my year of being sixteen years of age, I visited her with much of my family. She had quit smoking, and she had chosen this moment over thanksgiving turkey dinner to tell me the importance of never smoking so I don't get cancer. "Wee RicerX, young lad - never partake in the smoking of tobacco products. Or smokeless tobacco products. Or asbestos. Your health is what will take you through the wonders of life, and even though you don't even have a Nissan Z at your young age, if you invest in your health, not only should you avoid cancer by avoiding smoking, you may even see yourself in a Z car one day, driving through Scottsdale, Arizona, and observing youth with such rare opportunities, and guide them as I guide you." Yes, Grandmother, I shall. So I embarked upon a journey of health. I avoided areas where people smoked. I didn't go to bars. I worked out and did lots of cardio. (Before you ask, I even lift.) Pumping iron, PR. Pumping iron, PR. Goose and mixers. Pumpin iyon. (I digress, my heritage is sneaking out). I took supplements. I regularly engaged in chiropractic care. I ate clean, lean, mean food. I rarely partook in sugary sweet ice cream and other tasty delights. I worked SO HARD for SO MANY YEARS to maintain my health and honor my grandmother. And your posts gave me cancer anyway. |
we're talking about grandma's now?
