THIS WORKS IF YOUR 09-10 Z wont start on first try see "push clutch and button"

I just purchased a 2010 370z with 47k miles on. The first stop from the dealer to get gas and the car wont start. I get the signal to push the clutch and press the start.... then it goes into acc - then on .. no start but all lights are on. This continues for 30-45 seconds with me push the clutch and start and going into Acc, On and then not starting. Then finally it just starts. figured it was a fluke. Get home its still doing it. Research here found this

BOTTOM LINE - look at the diagram - take out part 8 - the clutch interlocking switch with a 14mm wrenching to start the twist (from the back - front bolt is welded). Make sure you unhook the switch first by disconnecting the blue attachment. Then you can just turn the whole switch counter clock wise and back it out. Once out. CAREFULLY remove the white block from the black housing where the plunger is with a small flathead . DO NOT LOSE THE SPRING - it will fall out. Next make sure the points are connected and aligned properly. NEXT sand the points JUST IN CASE and make sure there is some travel when they are not touching (this is where the plunger seperates them to tell the car the clutch is engaged) - my part looked brand new but i sanded it anyway. AGAIN MAKE SURE THE POINTS ALIGN - then reinsert the white part into the black housing. NOTE make sure that the black plunger is making a "clicking noise" when the pressure part is pressed.

Then re-install also note - make sure the bolt on the plug is screwed all the way down. To reinstall just turn plug clockwise until tight and reconnect blue wire.

THATS IT - THIS WILL WORK... .my part looked brand new and it fired RIGHT UP .. just got through doing 5 shut down and restarts in a row.

NO ISSUES AT ALL -

THANK YOU 370z forum you saved me so much time money and anxiety. I LOVE THIS PLACE :tiphat::bowrofl:
