do you ever forget...?

I get thumbs up, smiles and "great looking car" from strangers, always forgetting I'm driving the Z. Maybe because I'm so used to it being my daily ride that I totally forget how unique this vehicle is to the mere mortals...just saying :driving:

All the time! I remember the first day driving it home I had the biggest smile on my face not only because I just got a Z, but because as I looked around people were breaking their necks looking at it lol. It's pretty easy to forget once you get used to the car, you just become numb to it I guess.

I don't think numb I think you become part of it like an extension of you. :driving:

Well put! :icon17::tiphat:

Never noticed too many stares until I actually started modding. With amuse, a drop, wheels, headlights, etc, etc, etc its starting to become a piece of art but before that... Nothing neck breaking.

My s2k used to get way more looks stock for stock than the Z, thats for sure

Kzonts 03-22-2015 05:17 PM

I just bought mine a month ago, so I haven't forgot yet. I went to Lowes's last week and was walking to the entrance and young man was exiting the store and was looking at the car. He stared and said, "Man that thing is sick! Can I take a picture?" :-)

Apparently mortals can't go to their local bank and get financed for $30k. :bowrofl:

axmea? 03-23-2015 12:39 AM

......and then you have to deal with stupid mustang, camaro, and charger owners who because of their ugly @$$ v8's want to prove a point to compensate for their ugly cars. You guys know what I mean

Those RAYS still wont compensate for the salt under the car :wtf2:

Yesterday I drove up to my friend's house and back and people were driving like idiots, nearly swerving into me, passing me then slowing down, coming up next to me and then pacing me... Then I realized it's because of my sweet-*** car. People can't stop looking at it instead of driving. It's like my car creates its own traffic hazards.

I need an uglier car. :shakes head:

I've only had mine for several weeks by now. But in my last truck, I got a lot of compliments and people stopping me to talk about it. (it was a bright red tacoma x-runner).

I guess I might just be used to people staring that I don't notice it much... However, I thought it was funny when I went to get the oil changed and have them wash/wax the Z that they all stared at it and a customer bringing in his Jeep wondered over to it to get a closer look... I snapped a shot of it.

"mere mortals"....dude, it's just a matter of time, probably sooner than later, before the 370z goes into civic status

The 350z isn't even there yet (at least by me) so no worries here.

350Z has been in civic status for a while IMO. when you see high school kids driving them, then you know your car is outdated.

well, just hang tight for another 5-6yrs and kids will go onto the next thing and we just enjoy the car the way it should be enjoyed.

Must say those new slightly darker rays on the 2013+ models look sick. Especially on your white Z. Nice!

It's hard to forget how unique and nice looking my Z is. I get at least a couple compliments every week. From strangers mostly too! Also friends/family of course.

kenchan 03-24-2015 12:58 PM

k, never driven my z to lowes.. or homedepot.. ikea.. or any home improvement stores..

'do you ever forget' per title, that this is a sports car and not a pick up truck? :icon17:

I live in a place with small town mentalities, I get lots of compliments on my Porsche ( I drive a '10 370z). I just say thank you as I have not found a polite way to correct them. :)

I have the opposite problem. I sometimes will nod at a driver in a nice sports car, and then realize that I'm rolling in my Ford Transit work van..complete with ladder rack.
