Do stock rims look good dipped?

1 Attachment(s)
I plan on dipping my rims a graphite metallizer as soon as I get it shipped. Question is, will it look good on stock rims? I have a feeling it won't and I'm scared I'll be wasting 87$ on paint on shitty rims Attachment 101210

I did all 4 of my 19" rays with 3 cans of plastidip so that cost me like $22... I am getting ready to dip them bronze using a kit from Dipyourcar.com and that is only $49 +$12 shipping. I think it looks great and if you dont like it you can always peel it off or just change the color.

Joker_J 03-12-2015 09:09 AM

mishuko 03-12-2015 09:21 AM

Joker the ones your posted is 2012< sport package, the pic branky posted is 2013+ sports package....

atleast for the canadian release. I have a 2012 with the old style rims.... still nice though!

speedfreek 03-12-2015 09:23 AM

2009-2012 have the same sport wheels. The change happened in 2013. So 2013+ have the redesigned sport wheel.

Many have dipped both the sport wheels and base wheels. It looks about as good as plastidip can look.

If you've got the extra funds, why not? I've got such a limited amount I can spend on my car so if I were in your position, I would probably install what I've got now. What do u have?

So far I have the Stillen Gen 3 CAI, Stillen Transmission Cooler, and APEXI RS Exhaust. I'm debating on either getting a Oil cooler tho since the 14 has a stock oil cooler lol But eventually will get a different Y-pip and HFC once I hear and feel how the car performs with the exhaust :)

here you go

JesseG805 03-12-2015 07:04 PM

Just pick up 3 cans of matte black dip from lowes or home depot. Buy a can of silver or gold metalizer. Pick up a cheap spray paint can handle. Cover your rotors and brakes with plastic bags. You can do it yourself for about 25 dollars.
