Do stock rims look good dipped?
1 Attachment(s)
I plan on dipping my rims a graphite metallizer as soon as I get it shipped. Question is, will it look good on stock rims? I have a feeling it won't and I'm scared I'll be wasting 87$ on paint on shitty rims Attachment 101210

Try this for google searching... Site:the370z.com your search keywords here
That will return results from this website. This was the first result that popped up and looks like there is pics of wheels dipped. http://www.the370z.com/exterior-inte...wesome-29.html |
I did all 4 of my 19" rays with 3 cans of plastidip so that cost me like $22... I am getting ready to dip them bronze using a kit from Dipyourcar.com and that is only $49 +$12 shipping. I think it looks great and if you dont like it you can always peel it off or just change the color.

I'm debating if I want to plati dip mine lol cause I like the smoked color on my sport rims...lol
|
Joker the ones your posted is 2012< sport package, the pic branky posted is 2013+ sports package....
atleast for the canadian release. I have a 2012 with the old style rims.... still nice though! |
2009-2012 have the same sport wheels. The change happened in 2013. So 2013+ have the redesigned sport wheel.
Many have dipped both the sport wheels and base wheels. It looks about as good as plastidip can look. |

Yeah I did lol. I'm on tapatalk so I attached it. Anyway, I'm hoping graphite metallizer will look nice on my stock rims. I paid 87$ total including shipping for the dip lol |

I got the plus kit that included: PreDip spray, Brake Masking Bags and a microfiber towel. Should I get the spray gun? |

Damn. I'd pay 20-30$ for one. 55$ just to dip my rims on top of the 87$ is overboard haha. I'll be careful though. Hopefully it'll look nice on stock rims. |

When I get paid next week and my rims come out clean, I'll prob do my emblems and other stuff afterwards and purchase the gun. Low on funds right now haha |

If you've got the extra funds, why not? I've got such a limited amount I can spend on my car so if I were in your position, I would probably install what I've got now. What do u have? |

here you go
|
Just pick up 3 cans of matte black dip from lowes or home depot. Buy a can of silver or gold metalizer. Pick up a cheap spray paint can handle. Cover your rotors and brakes with plastic bags. You can do it yourself for about 25 dollars.
