CSC Failures and Model Years?

Are CSC Failures any more prevalent in earlier model years or pretty much the same throughout?

In other words, has Nissan addressed this in recent years?

Also, does anyone know if the repair is covered on a CPO car?

As far as I know it's still the same part no. '09-'15

CSC started with HR cars, 07+
Call Nissan CPO warranty, or call your dealer.

I asked Nissan, they said NO, only the 3/36 covers it. Everyone says something different though and some owners got it replaced under warranty, customer loyalty one-time deal sort of. Also, I looked at extending my bumper to bumper, but that warranty also does not cover it, so I won't do that most likely. The whole thing is pretty stupid

I'm sure Nissan purposely didn't address the CSC problem so they could rack up fees in repairs.

Nissan USA would only make money on the parts...the dealer makes the rest on labor and parts mark up. likely the failure rate(poor design/manufacture, not driver induced) is not as high as we think and not enough to warrant a change, the csc was revised once to my knowledge.

'09 CSC went out twice. First time Nissan replaced it out of warranty (I paid parts but they comp'ed labor). Second time I said screw it and got a ZSpeed HD replacement. Never had a problem since.
