i agree sound insulation sucks in the Z's. i personally love the bose audio, it thumps and sound is pretty clear, well we can both say its way better than a base lol. and i give you props for getting a nismo tech cause like is said it comes with all the goodies. all the other stuff is just personal preference. so the nismo tech still has oil temp issues right ? and the csc issue is still there ?

I have not had any issues with oil temperature on my Nismo. I've never gotten it above 190F, no matter how hard I push the car it seems to warm up to that temperature and then plant itself there. They added an oil cooler as a stock component in 2012. You may need to upgrade it if you track your car, but you're pretty much never going to go into limp mode driving super aggressively on streets, which is a definite improvement :p

I'm not aware of any CSC changes though. Considering launch control was re-introduced to the GT-R in 2012 with the limitation that it overheats the transmission after about 2 launches, I have to imagine Nissan thinks a lot of overheating issues are best solved aftermarket or simply ignored by putting the car into limp mode? :ugh2: That was basically the same problem it had when they decided to take it off the car in 2010, but then they re-introduced it without actually changing anything but their policy on the issue :icon17:

nice man and yeah, i have the 2014 and I'm in ny, so its been below freezing lately. i herd that in the winter it warms up the oil and in the summer oil cooler kicks in and brings the temp down. i don't track at all, just daily driven except (snow) lol. i have 1600 miles on mine, going to be getting the ZSpeed HD Concentric Replacement Clutch Slave Cylinder. so ill be on the safe side.

I got the tech package because I can't stand how cheap the cubby and base stereo looks. Something that belongs in a Versa. I don't really care about heated seats because I don't drive the Z in the winter. I use it maybe 3 times a year. Also don't care about power seats because I'm the only one that drives it. I'd gladly give up both for the '15 recaro seats. If the current Nismo tech was available when I bought my Z, that's what I'd be driving today.

I understand some of you think the car is pricey but... The argument for this type of car is kinda dumb. No heated seats or sunroof... Really? No power in the Nismo, really? Lol. Get a 2 series. Q60 or Gencoupe.
This car is way too pricey and it's so long in the tooth, there should be like $3,500 cash back on sport and touring models and $5,000 cashback on Nismo. But the Z is sports, not luxury. Hopefully the Z35 will be a benchmark.
