differential whine

has anybody here had their differential replaced due to whine? i just installed a fast intentions exhaust and can still hear that high pitched whine. is that sound normal in these cars?

If you're covered under warranty you are one lucky person. It could be anything hear worn, bearings are shot, or if you're really lucky, it is just a lube job.

if it whines on all gears then yea you need it fixed.

There's a whine from the area my passenger seat every time I accelerate or change lanes quickly.:p

Seriously though, gear whine from the diff is bad. It's either low gear oil, a worn pinion bearing, or misaligned gears. Any of those scenarios will result in catastrophic failure and you'll have a bad time.:eekdance:
