New 2015 370Z Nismo Black, 6 speed Tec
 

I finally received my Z tonight that I ordered last June. It's really cool. I like the seats. The inner door handles are now black. If anyone has questions or wants a specific picture please let me know. The Stillen Cold Air arrives Thursday and I will install Saturday. I chose the newer dry filters instead of oiled.

Quick question - you decided to throw aftermarket intakes on; are you concerned about voiding your warranty?

after market intakes won't void your warranty unless they directly cause some sort of malfunction , like sucking up water causing your motor to hydrolock, which in itself is very unlikely to happen ! :tiphat:

After Market
 

I checked with both the dealer and Stillen and they said it doesn't void the warranty. The service manager did say also that as long as the after market product didn't cause the failure it should be fine. I'm sure that could be tricky but I'm moving forward anyway.

Thank you for all the great feedback! I will take some pictures Saturday before I start on the Stillen Cool Air and Plasti dip the door handles and emblems.

Can you post some pics of the front and back? I'd like to see how the red-trim looks on the black (before I decide to sell my testicle to buy the nismo kit)

I don't understand why they wouldn't paint the door handles black. They paint the inside but not the outside?

Such a great looking refresh, and they left the door handles silver, which no longer match the sport package/nismo wheels from 09-12.

It's never too soon for plastidip! . But wow. That's a nice looking Z.

Coil Spacers Found!
 

Thought everyone might get a laugh. This is my second Nismo and thanks to this forum in 2013 I read about the coil spacers that are frequesntly left on. Thankfully, I found them and had the dealer removed. Today, I remembered about the spacers and pulled the car over and took pictures with my Iphone and sure enough, spacers! Brought back to Nissan. They found one set on each side. They appologised numerous times. Here is a picture.

What's wrong with the spacers being on them?

The spacers prevent the springs from compressing properly, which causes adverse handling.

It seems like the only place that has them is Texas, California, and a few in Florida. None here in the DC area yet. WTF Nissan?

I'm having my door handles painted tomorrow. I tried the Plastidip but it peels on the handle. Do most people who get it painted just go with the factory paint matching which is shiny or a flat black?

Stillen Gen3 Install
 

I installed the Stillen Gen3 last weekend. Almost identical install as my 2013. I installed the new dry filters opposed to the oiled.

Don't you have to drill holes?

Yes. You have to cut the two air vents in front of the car. This is exactly how it was done with previous years.

I have always been a white/gray kinda guy with the Z, but this version in black is simply gorgeous.
