Yeah, the NISMO is fairly harsh on bad roads. On my test drive, I was actually (pleasantly) surprised that the car felt quite a bit stiffer than my old Z.

I agree with Jordo on the Nismo wheels.

Easier to add touring bits to the Nismo than the other way around. I was about to spring for the touring/sport fully decked out with navigation etc.., but went with the Nismo. Wanted the goodies, so I put them in myself. Can't beat the rear end look.

mfeinst, is your sig up to date? Your car looks lower than usual on swifts

Hotrodz 08-14-2014 11:22 PM

I think you should do whatever rocks your boat. I have modded mine and still going. My car handles nothing like stock with all the suspension upgrades. Every time I drive it, it makes me giggle like a kid!!! You get to create your own driving experience and it's okay to change your mine along the way...I did!

I will say that if I was looking at purchasing a 15 that I would do a sport touring and change the body kit. The 15 Nismo just does not do it for me...I like the 09 thru 14s body kit way mo better!!!

Yep it's up to date. I've had a couple of people tell me that, so maybe it's the koni yellows...

Sick, do it!

I'd say do it if you like the nismo look. The nismo exhaust is not bad, but there are better exhaust system out there for the sound and look like Fast Intentions, HKS, Motordyne e370. I love the nismo suspensions tho. Feels like my HKS Hypermax III coilovers on my old g35c. You don't have to change the suspensions unless you want to lower your car.

I love my Nismo but I got a good deal on an 11 with 20k miles and extended warranty
It already had mods done. Only thing I need now is an oil cooler.
If you love it get it

btw the guys with 2010 nismos. How are they? I know first versions of cars are usually full of bugs, so I wonder how 2010 is since 2009 was first year?

I see some amazing deals for 2010s out there. I am aiming at a 15 but always like to have a backup plan and see some amazing prices on 10s.

Hotrodz 08-19-2014 10:47 PM

I bought my 10 two years ago with 11k miles and have had know issues to speak with of...I'm 34k now with the last 10k being FI and running strong!

redstarcg 08-19-2014 11:05 PM

Hotrods I didn't really understand the first part, I assume you mean no known issues?

And that is great news! All I know is whichever one I get, first two mods I will be doing is FI and Exhaust. Then I will worry about the rest haha.
