Do we all have this issue?
This is my second front bumper AND black plastic diffuser. The original bumper had the same issue...the passenger side has this gap in it that no matter what I do will not sit flush. Anyone else experience this or have a fix?

I have a similar problem, I thought it was because my bumper seems to have been through hell and back. |
Yep. On the passenger side of the car, I have a little gap too. I think it happens and I wouldn't really worry about it. I considered maybe an epoxy to hold it in place, but its not really noticeable unless you're looking for it.

do i see a ducati back there!? hmmm... but i have seen a couple with the same problem, and i have also seen a couple that do not have it. i wouldnt really know how to fix it though

The problem is the tabs on the bumper that the diffuser bolts to is bent down. Causing the gap. The tab is part of the bumper, so it is plastic. The fix would be taking a heat gun and heating up the tab, and push it back up. Then leave it cool in the new position. ;)
I'm getting ready to replace my 2nd diffuser. I've chewed 2 of them up so far. And I have broken one of the tabs on the bumper. :shakes head: |
Fill the gap with some black silicone caulk.
I don't have any gaps with mine. |
yet another homedepot mod.
can you guys use mounting tape to hold it together (VHB)? |
Not really. :( Nothing there to stick it to.
