OEM rearview mirror w/backup camera
Hello everyone. New 2012 nismo owner as of tomorrow # 346
I have searched the forums quite a bit looking for info on the camera setup and would like to stay with the stock setup. On ebay, as mentioned on many threads they sell the OEM unit but. Says it doesn't fit the nismo? Is this true? Seems the base and nismo interior should be the same. Thanks for any input. |
The rear view cam/homelink mirror is a Separate accessory that doesn't come from the factory.

I don't see why it wouldn't fit; it's just something you stick to the windshield, unless they're talking about the power/video harness for the camera...even then still don't see why it wouldn't "fit". My car came with it as a factory installed option. You can always double check with the dealer.

Theres a diy for the homelink mirror somewhere in the forums. Dude bought a generic brand homelink mirror from ebay and wired it up. Search the diy section.

my 13 has an auto dimming homelink mirror. has like 3 buttons on it i have no idea what they do, ones a pic of a little house. came that way from the factory. i checked every "extra" box that could even be checked when i ordered it, so my guess is you CAN get it, its just an optional extra. probably costs a fortune, i just dont remember.

I asked the dealer about it 875 installed. Pretty spendy.

2011 NISMO with backup camera in mirror
It does work and is an option on the 2011 and later NISMOs. My 2011 NISMO has the homelink with backup camera in the mirror. It came factory on the car.

My 2013 has it....and with rear visibility of an army tank, I absolutely love mine. Also came pre installed by the dealer

The Nissan web site lists the mirror with the backup camera as a "factory installed accessory" along with the illuminated kick plates.
I think it's odd that is not considered an "option". |
The Homelink mirror w/ camera is a factory-installed accessory. Mine came shipped with it priced on the original window sticker. I love the thing, considering it's my only way to see over the J LO hips of my Fairlady. Definitely worth the $800 asking price. One dent could mean a new NISMO rear bumper + paint = way more than $800.
