2014 nismo
 

Hello all,

I am in the market for a brand new nismo, but i am conflicted over the fact that the 2014 will be out sometime during the summer (within months), but is it worth the wait? or should i just try to get a 2013 model?

The differences seems to sum up to the red stripes stickers, new steering wheel and 2 toned body. If anything, i like the mono color more, it doesn't make the car look like its driven by a try hard.

any thoughts on this issue? ex: why one would wait for 2014 vs just go and pick up a 2013? I know it's subjective, but I am just gathering thoughts, thanks for the replies in advance.

Unless you really care about the cosmetic changes that much there really isn't a reason to wait. Also, nissan is offering 0% financing on current models. 2014 models will not be afforded that luxury until the end of that year cycle. This is a promotion that has been repeated for the last couple of years. When I purchased my 2013 the 2012 promotion had just ended. I had hoped to take advantage of the 2012 promotion on a 2013 model but was not able to. food for thought.

Not a new bumper! It's an individual housing for the lower fog. Just waiting for Nissan to issue the parts catalog so I can order one for mine!

This raise another concern, i have contacts few dealers near by and they confirmed it that there is only 2 new nismo within the states. one is black and one is silver, that means I will have to wait for nissan to delivery the pearl white over sea (by then, 2014 model will be out). I guess I need to be patient either way, just not too sure of the cosmetic changes. what are everyone's thought on the cosmetic update?

while I have a tendency to denigrate those who use the term, I believe "try hard" is an adequate description of the cosmetic changes on the 2014 nismo line. I really don't like the way it looks. Ofcourse that's just my personal opinion; you can always choose to be wrong :p.

Get the 2013. Search cars.com for dealership inventory, you may find a white one around. I just ran a quick search and there are a few white ones. You may just have to travel. I'm not a fan of the two tone. Steering wheel is nice but you can get better from Carbon Fiber Element.

I saw a White 2013 Nismo at Don Davis Nissan in Dallas this week so I know there are some around...

theres a 13 magma red just like mine sitting at the dealership 400 yards from my house. they are around, but you have to look in the "high brow" areas as its not a car they sell a lot of. limited production with a limited demand stacked on top. this imo will be a car to hang on to 30 years from now. hell, 240s and 300s are super popular and sought after in less than half that time and they made a blue TRILLION of those damned things.

I'm in utah, but the three local dealerships that I had contacts with said that there's only two nismo among states, which are silver/black.. however, I have decided to wait till 2014 model comes out and see how it looks in black.

Hopefully nissan car will last that long.. lol. This will be my DD.

The new two-tone Nismo reminds me of the Nismo 350Z and it looks great IMO. The darker wheels are also sexy. How much would you save if you get the older model?
