Does this mean that I could accept the numbers quoted and pay an astonishing interest rate(, but even then will accepting high interest rates vs. having a cosigner get me approved?) or do I apply with penfed and see what they say I'm just a little leery after reading much about if penfed doesn't like you they will drop you off the face of the earth and end all contact with you if they decide they dont like you or don't want to finance you. My only other dilemma with penfed is how likely am I to get a zero -$2000 downpayment loan through them. I don't want to make a rash decision by any means, but this dancing every time I try and get out of this 350 is getting old I've done a lot of homework but Im running out of ideas

If you want it that bad, I suggest saving up and putting down a nice chunk. I put down $22,000.00 for mine to get me where I was comfortable with the payment. Remember... don't bite off more than you can chew. Just my :twocents:

^i definately agree man I'm not trying to put myself in a financial bind over this car Im very adamant about getting one but well see I guess they may have found someone who is willing to finance me and if they payments are right I might have it sitting in my driveway on saturday(opting to pick it up late due to the hurricane bringing snow to my area) otherwise maybe I'll find someone from our community with one for sale around 31k or less

Okay guys I'm fairly new to the community here but I'm looking for some advice on buying a 2011 Nismo 370 sitting at our local Nissan dealer lot.

The car has been sitting on the lot(well in the dealers possesion) for two years now since it came out brand new in 2011, but for much of its time they have been allowing the store managers to drive the car to "promote" business for the dealership. The car had over 5k mi. On it back in June and has been steadily driven consantly since then so I going to assume atleast 7k now and has never even been titled to anyone yet!, and they are asking the $42K brand new sticker price for a car that is well past broke in. I guess my big question is how much would you guys offer for the car? Also I'm curious as to if anyone has dealt with penfed for a new auto loan before, I've heard many mixed emotions about them but I'm not too impressed with the current credit union I have my 350z financed thorough so I'm open to try someone else.

Any help would be wonderful!

Those guys are high. (I'm not just talking about the price either)

Trophy Nissan is selling brand new 2013 Nismo's for $41K+.

I would offer them $30K for that car. It's used. If they don't take it, go somewhere else.

Wow that is a lot! I paid 36 for a 2012 with 4k miles

If you are going to buy a car from the dealer & it already has several thousand miles on it, then it is & better be considered a "DEMO." If not and they are trying to sell it for new, then tell them to go F themselves. You are no EFFEN fool & hopefully you moma didn't raise no fool either. I would see if they would sell it for $30k & go from there. If you start at $35k, then you kind of stuck. As you already stated it was driven in winter months too & you are estimating that it has 7k +/- miles on it.

I'm picking it up Saturday or Monday going to wait till this stupid hurricane clears we've gotten a lot of snow here in the lima area and the rain is supposed to wash it all away today then sunny by Saturday again. I'll get you guys a few pictures as soon as I get it back to the house from the dealer lot ;)

On another note does anyone know if there is an aftermarket oil cooler (being z1 or stillen) that I can install on the car without voiding my 3yr warranty?

gomer_110 10-31-2012 08:21 AM

Installation of aftermarket parts does not automatically void the warranty. While it may cause a headache in the event of a warranty problem, they cannot deny a warranty claim unless the aftermarket part caused the problem.

Perfect thanks for the explanation :-) makes me feel less leery about putting F.I. Exhaust, new cats, and stillen long tube intakes on it and getting an Osiris tuner. But yeah haha take it you weren't expecting that fuct? But no I don't intend to track it but I do intend to take it on a couple vacations and the last thing I want is to be stuck on the side of the road because my car is in limp mode ffs. Lol, but yeah man I took astonishing care of my 350z and this will most definately get even better treatment without a doubt.

I got my 2011 nismo with 16k miles for 35k otd like 7 months ago.

I wouldn't pay more than 33k for one now tbh
