NISMO Bumper question

How can I tell if my bumper is OEM or a replica? Just got it back from the body shop all ******.

Believe there would be a code on the inside of it. Probably won't be able to see it though if it's installed now. You should specify you want oem only parts cause those damn body shops can't be trusted half the time and will use the cheapest parts they can.

What happened? Do you think they switched your bumper?

Do you have any pics?

Every body panel comes from the factory with a sticker that has the VIN on it. You have to look for it, but it's there on every panel.

If they replaced a panel I'm not sure what they put on there to show it's a genuine Nissan part.

True that not to mention reuse clips, certain stripping, etc.

Only nismo replicas I know of are fiberglass/FRP whereas the OEM is urethane, that's one sure sign to know

I've bought and sold a few oem Z bumpers and xplicit97 is right about the urethane and another way is by checking if it has the Nissan RDOT sticker and date of manuacture(usually written on the inside. I've attached pics of both.
