What Gives the Nismo More Power?

What gives the Nismo more power? Is it just tuning the ECU?? OR is it something mechanical that is upgraded? Thanks again guys.

Its the Nismo Tuned Exhaust.

Really?! I'm going to replace the exhaust system in the near future.

The ECU and exhaust. However most aftermarket exhaust systems are better in terms of performance than the NISMO. The NISMO exhaust is good for about 7hp over a stock non-nismo 370z. An aftermarket system like fast intentions is good for about 15hp over stock. It's been shown going to an aftermarket on a NISMO gives you about another 5-7hp over stock on a NISMO. It's not going to be a huge change but considering how quiet the NISMO exhaust is I think going aftermarket is the best way to go for both sound and performance.

There's a few ponies not accounted for after tuning and exhaust mods on a non-Nismo Z that lead me to believe the Nismo also has different VVEL tuning (a parameter we cannot currently adjust), but this hypothesis remains untested.
