Meisterschaft (GT HAUS) Rear Section for Nismo.
Hey guys, I am about to Purchase a 2011 Nismo (Magnetic Black - hopefully it isn't as magnetic as I've herd - I don't want any Deers crashing into me.....).
Anyways I am thinking that for my first mod I will install the GT Haus Rear Section for the 370Z. My hypothesis is it will give me the drama/sound I am looking for (as a stock Nismo seems to be mostly intake noise from the cabin's perspective) out of the back - without being over loud or raspy. Is it REALLY expensive? Yes. Could I get a full exhaust for the same price? Yes. But, for the type of sound it makes - without it being "Hey, Pull me over Please" loud - it seems like a great mod. Plus, I love Meisterschaft - great company. So, long story short - does anyone have any experience with Installing/Running the Meisterchaft rear section on their Nismo. Any and all advice is more then welcome - even if its for another exhaust. You take the old one off and put the new one on. It's really not difficult. There is not cutting or anything like that involved, parts should line up perfectly.
|
I have sold quite a few of these. Fitment is always perfect, sound is amazing, you will not be disappointed.

I actually did quite a bit of research before I bought. I'm installing hopefully mid week. My will be full CB because Im looking for the "full" effect for sound and performance. I will be taking some pictures of the install and video of the sound.

I really want to get some test pipes to see how this baby can really sound, but I have not done it yet... They are pretty cheap...

I just want to sound, but need to keep the volume down. |
Test Pipes, Y and mid pipe, with the Meisterschaft rear section would be the most Epic sound. . . .

I can vouch for the VividRacing team as well. I personally spoke with a person named John Streeter and he gave me an awesome deal. Its in transit to me right now but hopefully getting installed by middle of next week. Ill keep you posted after the install for sure.

I thought they stopped making GTHaus exhausts for the 370Z back in 2010...

I saw on youtube, GThaul has electirc controled valve(open/close) to control the sound and performence. It's on a M3 tho. That's sooooooo sick! Can we do it on 370z?

Nope, No valve controlled system for the 370Z right now.
I'm not sure if anyone really makes one for the 370, besides Power Craft, and getting one would not not be easy. |
Si I basically have that without the silent mode.... not that I would ever use silent mode....
|
Yep. :)

Yes that is what I was thinking at first too..Just get the rear section and it should be enough...IT WASN'T. lol
I got the rear end after only 7 days of owning my brand new Z. It sounded great and there was no sound in the cabin really. It was just that the original tone I heard in the videos wasn't really present and that's why I had gone with Meisterschaft. So i got a Y pipe, which didn't really change much, then I went for custom 3 in mid pipe, and that's where I am now. If you lined up a full cat back with mine I'm sure they would be identical in sound. I am some what thinking about test pipes lol. 370z Meisterschaft Full exhaust with 3" Pipeing - YouTube |
Since we have people on here. Does anyone know how the motordyne art pipes will effect the sound of the cat back meisterschafter? SHould I just go with berk test pipes or those motordyne ones. I've heard people with F.I. with the motordyne and they sound sick as ****. From what I can tell it deepens the tone.

Awesome & amazing exhaust sound. I have no complaints, no regrets & I would definitely buy the FCBE again.
|
I'm starting to consider doing the Rear Section + The Mid Section. Anyone else have any experience with that?
|
I have no experience going from one to the other. But I have the full CBE, and it sounds sick.

I've talked to some people who said the Full CatBack setup has a "harsh" sound when your above 5K revs. Are these people just against the "noise" - I understand that the system is REALLY LOUD! |

So I thought I would give a little update on what I've decided to do.
I am going with the Rear Section - got a chance to hear it in person ... for me its just magic. The Nismo Exhaust is already a pretty good "sleeper" setup, and the rear added just the right attitude I was looking for when you decide to put your foot into it. That being said - I don't like the idea of going from 120mm tail pipe tips, down to 102mm tips. So in talking to Meisterschaft I brought that very problem up to them and they are looking into possibly doing custom 120mm tips for my order. I've got my fingers crossed it all comes together. :stirthepot: |
Just got my Meisterschaft Rear Section. The reason why I didn't go for the full CBE was because I wanted to retain the Hpipe that the Nismo has. Why would you switch from an H to a Y pipe anyways. Thats a loss in power! I had a custom 2.5 inch xpipe made instead with flex pipes and also removed the factory resonators. I will be putting my exhaust very soon. As of now I think I am the only one that will be running this setup. I'll keep you guys posted. :driving:
