Any pictures of the 2013 Nismo?

I'm in the market for my first Z, and always loved the look of the Nismo Zs. Just wanted to know if anyone had any idea what they're going to look like this year. I don't want to put a deposit down on a car without even seeing one.

MacLean 04-16-2012 12:00 AM

I haven't seen any yet. You know you can '12 Nismo with 0% interest for up to 60months, or 2.99% for 72% until 4/30/12.

zgh5002 04-16-2012 12:07 AM

Not really interested in the '12 with the '13s right around the corner, but thanks for the info.

No pictures of any other 2013's other than that one Magma red coupe from the auto show. 2013 Nismo exterior change only is red brakes and gun metal wheels.

It's not adopting the LEDs?

Ackrite 04-16-2012 12:43 AM

Haven't seen anything on the '13's but I didn't want to risk that it is also coming with the new LED's. I prefer the cleaner look of the bumper without them. I can tell you that I know how the numbered plate will look like since my '12 came with a '13 one.

zgh5002 04-16-2012 12:49 AM

I'd be extremely ok with it not having them. Kind of bummed about no midnight blue though.

No only 13' sport package Z's get LED's. Not Nismo's or base models

All I want from the 2013 Nismo are the upgraded brake lines which I'm pretty sure would be backwards compatible. I could care less about the Bose audio option or the different color paint used on the calipers and wheels.

Niche79 04-16-2012 06:39 AM

yah looks are going to be the same on the nismo, only upgrading the brakes and stereo and thats bout it. So ya might as well get a 12 and save thousands now vs some 13 they say will be updated and wont let it go for near as cheap!

If its anything like what I almost went through last year, both will cost the same new... Haha

2013 370z - Chicago Auto Show

All, I found some pics of the 2013 370z. Looks like the Nismo won't get the fascia change which includes daytime running lamps but will get upgraded brake lines and performance brake fluid...also will get an upgraded Bose sound system...mechanically the same otherwise.

I wonder how much it is to buy the Nismo brake lines and fluid for the regular Z. Don't know how much of a real difference it will make.

printingray1 04-25-2012 05:01 PM

Its fast, reliable and looking great just like a 350z.

Waiz 04-25-2012 05:02 PM

The change will be very minimal but still interested to see what it looks like anyway

Pops 04-25-2012 05:34 PM

They pretty much say or show the same thing...

The '13 Z itself looks the same as the '12, but the only difference is the front bumper & the hideous wheels on it. Somebody made a post as to what was going to come on the '13 Z & the Nismo. There are some minor changes, but nothing really to jump up & down about from what I have read.

Not if you finance.

smittyplace 04-26-2012 04:05 PM

Yeah, not much changed for Niz owners....you can get track ready stainless steel brake lines from Z1 Motorsports for $110 and $20 for high performance brake fluid not to mention the Nismo brake pads all of which improves braking. Here's an interesting thought... if there was a way to embed the LED's in our fascia's somehow; there maybe enough flat surface to custom fit it...it would be cool since Nissan has provided the wiring scheme now with the new LED's. I'm curious about the upgraded Bose system but I'm sure it's costly from Nissan.

Armhunter 04-26-2012 04:31 PM

The LED's look lame!

roplusbee 04-26-2012 05:03 PM

Hey, wait a minute! The 13 NISMO is going to have Gunmetal wheels and Red Calipers? Awwww.........I am jealous now!

I don't finance. Credits not good enough to qualify for 0% interest, and since I'll keep it for at least a decade, I don't have a problem just buying it outright. Got me a hell of a deal on my Escape, but I'm not expecting them to budge off sticker for a '13 Nismo right off the line.

You could do this yourself. Powdercoat wheels and brakes. Easy.

True. I planned on doing that anyway. I was just taken by surprise by the changes to the 13 NISMO. I haven't read or heard anything about them

andyw 05-31-2012 06:59 AM

I was gonna wait for the 13 but 12 has 0% so i pick mine up last week! Absolutely love the car. Woot!!
