2010 370z Nismo lowering springs

Hi guys,

I have been doing some research on what springs to go with and I want as much drop as possible without going to coilovers. I decided to go with H&R springs. I also have been doing some research on H&R springs and it seems that the normal 370z spring setup is different that the Nismo setup or Roadster. All I'm looking for the part number of the H&R lowering spring set that compatible with the 2010 370z Nismo. I asked a vendor off site and they told me that the coupe springs are "NOT" compatible with the Nismo. Is that true?

Thanks guys.

No one has an answer? Really?

That isn't true. The coupe springs will fit the Nismo. I bought the same springs... just haven't installed them yet.

Which springs did you buy? H&R? If so do you have the part number?
Thanks

Will these springs ruin the ride or make it better? Wont this put more strain on the specific parts on the car itself? I have heard bad things about lowering cars. I did it to my 99 ecplise GST back in the day. It was so low that I could not fit a tennis ball under. I hit every single speed bump, scraped up my car all the time. I had to buy a camber kit just so that it wouldnt eat the tires like mad! I had it in the shop every other month having adjusted because it would not hold. I am not touching my nismo, to me its low enough. I have a hard time getting in and out of places already even when taking it at an angle...

Do you guys know the spring rate on H&R compare to the stock Nismo springs? How much of a drop the H&R will do on a Nismo?

+1........ :iagree: I am in the same boat as you big guy. Yeah having it lowered a bit would be a little bit cleaner looking, but at what price (pain in the a** getting in/out of places).

Well, on my old Eclipse it was very necessary, it had a huge gap between the wheels and the body. Maybe I should of gotten bigger rims and tires. But on this car, to me, it looks just fine! I just washed it today and noticed I have already scraped up the bottom of the front fender.

Hmmm...... It is the black plastic (skid pad) under the car that gets scraped. I'm not too worried about that, but if it happens all the time I would be pissed. It is there to help protect your vehicle & paint. I would rather have that scraped up, then the actual bump or fender.

Stayed at a very nice hotel this last weekend near Hollywood. Parked in their lower garage but to get into the garage it was extremely steep. I did drive as careful as I could, angled it as much as possible. It didnt matter, I scraped. If my car was lowered, I would never have been able to get into the garage. Sometimes you dont have a choice.
