Rear panel removal, hunting the rattle?
I am hunting the rattle in the back. My first step is to remove the interior rear panel and examine/ adjust the hatchback latch mechanism. Then look for anything loose.
After the two push in fasteners are removed, does the panel pull straight up? I strongly prefer not to break the panel when I remove it. Any help on this is appreciated. |

That did it, thanks!

What did you find towards fixing the rattle? I probably have the same hatch rattle.
I know some lowered the latch. |
Sorry, the "that did it" meant that I now understand how to get the panels off. Actually finding and fixing the rattle will (hopefully) occur next weekend. I'll let you know if I get it fixed, and what I did.

Just don't fill the area with that expanding foam stuff. I've seen it happen more than once, and it's horrible.

In for results. I have a rattle that sounds like it's coming from right behind my driver's seat. I oly hear it when at ~30-35mph. It's driving me mad!

Fixed the rattle by moving the hatchback latch down about about 1/8 inch. As others have noted, it was easy, just two bolts. Also, the latch was not even close to being level so I evened it out.
Unfortunately, with the hatchback rattle gone I now hear a couple other rattles, including the rattle described by Happytheman. |
There was a thread about the weight box in the hatch causing the rattle

Ahh, just read through the thread I question, and here's the linky with the pics and diagrams:
