Where do you find the number?
|
Its in between the seats to the rear. Youll see a Nismo Silver Badge that says Z34 followed by the year than the 4 digit number your looking for.

Hey, any chance we could get posters to add their locations to the registry? Be nice to know where all our fellow Nizzies are hanging out. Would also make it easier to contact local owners for driving days etc.
I'm 2010 #565 by the way. |

Here are the photos for those who don't believe without seeing. Thanks for those who have faith, believing having not seen...j/k
Since it was sent directly to me from Autech, would they be to blame as well? I guess its still a Nissan, so they will still have to bear the brunt. I'm not mad actually because the fixed it so quickly. If its a big deal to other '12 NISMO owners with a 13 plate, it isn't a big deal to send the email and get the right plate. http://www.kodakgallery.com/imaging-.../jpeg/BG/async http://www.kodakgallery.com/imaging-.../jpeg/BG/async |
I blame time travel.

If you have a 2012 NISMO with the same problem...
Just send an email to nnaconsumeraffairs@nissan-usa.com.
Make the subject title exactly like this: Your inquiry to Nissan [ ref:_00DA09j8L._500F0A6VUe:ref ] Address it to: Keian Anonueveo (who I was in communication with) In the body of your message indicate that you are aware of case#7812809, and have the same problem. Include a photo of your 13 numbered NISMO plate and they will send you the 12 numbered plate. You get to keep both as a souveneir I guess... I guess its not a big deal, but I figured if you got the NISMO you'd want the NISMO plate to match correctly. I guess this would be the baseball error card equivalent, don't think its going to make it worth more unfortunately. I wish! Do any mods or any other members feel this deserves rep power? Or is that type of thing reserved for some real groundbreaking work? |

Nissan failed big time here lol. I don't even know how this mistake was made. A majority of the cars were probably built in 2011 anyways, I think installing a 2013 badge in 2011 might be a huge red flag that just went unnoticed.

New Z
2012 Z34 13 0518 Gun Metallic
Nissan had an awesome deal going and I figured, what the heck and picked up a new Nismo. I previously had a 2010 Nismo and now have the in-mirror back up camera along with the oil cooler and a few add-ons from dealer for roughly $1400 more than my 2010. NISMO370BC...thanks for the example letter to write Nissan. When I looked at the plate, it caught my eye and I recognized the mistake immediately. Evidently their quality control people missed this one big time. |

I also took advantage of the 0% for 60 Month deal w a 2010 trade-in. Will pick up TOMORROW!!! SOOOO excited I don't even remember the build No. |

Nice work! I'm going to submit my claim to Nissan. Did you install it yet? Can you just take a flat head and pry it off? Or is there some softer way to take it off? Does the new one come with an adhesive strip? Or does it clip on? Sorry for the following rant but here it is: I think if others have a "13" on their 2012, you should submit this same complaint. Even if you are still content about it. If enough of us make them correct the mistake they'll think twice about doing this again. I'm sure out of the many QC inspectors someone must have noticed the mistake and figured that it wasn't worth correcting because only a few customers would go as far as NISMO370BC did and to them not worth the money to correct. But what Nissan/Autech need to understand that people who buy NISMO's are Enthusiasts! We are willing to spend over $42k not to have leather, or navigation or creature comforts. We want the performance goodies, we obsess over all the minor details of how our cars drive, look, and feel. Out of all the target demographics, the enthusiasts that purchase a 370z Nismo are the ones who will take notice of such an error. |
Just pick mine up last week!!!!
