What the %^&*$%$

Jumped in the NISMO to run to the store and noticed as I pulled in to the store that the idle was a little rough. When I came out from the store started right up and the idle was smooth. When I hit 2500 rpm service engine soon light came on and and car will not rev above 2500rpm. All temps fluids pressures and levels are good. Car has only 4500 miles. Anyone else had anything like this happen? Nearest dealer is 75 mi. away Don't think I can get it there at 2300rpm

Are you near an Advance or Autozone that can check the code? Are you stock? I've heard of throttle bodies randomly failing which could cause limp mode...

On my Acura something similar happened and I was still under warranty. I called the dealer n they covered the tow truck.

Good luck!

Had the Z towed to the dealer. They pulled an 0021 code which is an in tank valve code. Ok. The problem is they said this code should not have put me into limp mode they have no idea why it did. But when they cleared the code the car is running perfectly again, they are keeping it overnight to see if they can replicate the problem.

Running up a high (20-30 degree) grade in a canyon on 1/4 tank cause fuel starvation so bad I couldn't accelerate at all regardless of speed or rpm. I filled up and had no problems after that. Could that have been the problem?
